  2. @ÅÐмiядζ: > I do agree that there should be smaller government; I was against Bush's and Obama's economic plans… The free market works if given the time, and you can't spend your way out of debt... I can go on and on, with how both republican and democrat administrations screwed over our kids, and our grandkids... > > 2nd Amendment rights all the way! There is an interesting debate about gun rights that erupted awhile ago in the debate board, I forget which post though... > > Either way, left wing, right wing, it's all both part of the same ugly bird! OMFG TY! and to clarify for everyone, the last paragraph is the only thing I wrote, the rest was off news sites etc..,
  3. i want comic sans i think but bolded.
  4. This morning I wrote a post about a Homeland Security paper that warned about “right wing extremists” and the threat that they may pose to the government. This paper basically lumped in people who are either pro second amendment, anti abortion, anti illegal immigration, or pro smaller government (or more than one or all of the above) with white supremacists and domestic terrorists. As maddening as I found that paper there was one aspect to the paper that I missed this morning and to me it is much more egregious. This is what the Department of Homeland Security thinks about our military men and women who are overseas fighting on our behalf: the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks That is unforgivable. To suggest that some of our troops will come home and form or join terrorist groups is beyond reprehensible. And why suddenly is the Department of Homeland Security suddenly using the “T” word again when talking about our troops when they refuse to call the actual terrorists what they are? The report continues: Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists,” it says. “DHS/I&A is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities I find it very interesting to see how these people really feel about our veterans. The US Homeland Security Department, under fire for saying US forces returning from the Iraq and Afghan wars were potential right-wing extremist recruits, said Wednesday it honors US veterans. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano sought to douse anger among conservatives and veterans groups like the American Legion over a report from her department warning of a rising threat of right-wing extremism. “We are on the lookout for criminal and terrorist activity but we do not — nor will we ever — monitor ideology or political beliefs,” Napolitano said in a statement amid charges that the department had done just that. American Legion chief David Rehbein on Tuesday blasted the report as “incomplete, and, I fear, politically-biased” and took special aim at its warning that returning veterans having difficulties reintegrating society could be recruited by right-wing groups for possible terrorist attacks. In a letter to Napolitano, Rehbein underlined the document’s mention of Oklahoma City bombing author Timothy McVeigh’s US Army background and called it “as unfair as using Osama bin Laden as the sole example of Islam.” The report said that fears of possible new restrictions on firearms, as well as troubled veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, “could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.” Rehbein said the accusation, leveled in an April 7 document designed for local law enforcement officials, was “without any statistical evidence.” It’s humorous when a government is afraid of the same people they train to kill. Who was it that said people shouldn’t fear their government, but the government should fear the people? this was said by our own goverment, they beleive that our own troops are potential terrorists! this is ridiculous! does anyone else find this as offensive and wrong as i do? words cannot describe how angry i feel about my own government commenting about people like my father like this.
