  1. Really sorry for the double post, but I think there should be support for a space in the character name too, so the player can have a last name if he wanted…
  2. Another thing i noticed, there should be the ability to have a space in your character's name. That way your player can have a last name…
  3. @azkanan: > You can define different sprites for different classes… 0.o God I am such a n00b… Lol... Well, thank you. Ill have to take a closer look at the source code AND the main version to see what I missed, though I still think the option should be intigrated into a future version, including the ability to change your skin color (or fur color/pattern, as needed) Frankly, I'm being completely honest when I say I have NO IDEA what I'm doing thus far and am still working through tutorials as of this post, so please forgive me... ^.^;
  4. @azkanan: > Class 1 - Human Archer > Class 2 - Human Knight > Class 3 - Orc Archer > Class 4 - Orc Knight > Class 5 - Elf Archer > > etc. Or you could add race-only classes this way… > > Elf Sharpshooter, Orc Warmonger, Human Paladin, Halfling Traveller, etc. :) Well, I had thought about that, and even tried it, but you run back into the issue that every male character will look the same as any other male character, same for females. I mean, is it too much to ask to have green skin on orc characters..? Or elves to have pointy ears that stick out to the sides? Or tails on furred races. And as for the second option, that defeats the point of races as you cant really be custom. ALL halflings will be Vagabonds and ALL humans will be pious bastards, lol. And even then, there's still the appearance issues, and that's really all I wanna solve…
  5. @Xeross: > Copy the class code and rename it race Ill keep that in mind when I figure out the code! 0.o Lol, I cant even get the friggin tutorials provided here to run, let alone work. Edit: Besides, how would that allow the player to alter there apperance based off of race..?
  6. I know I posted this elsewere in its own topic, but then I happened on this one, so just to be safe, ill repost it here. @Foxmoan: > I dunno, maybe its just me… But in the game I'm wanting to make, it would be a lot nicer to be able to have the ability to choose your race and class, like, I'm not just a Warrior, I'm a Half-Elf Warrior or something, and make the characters be able to customise more and be more diverse from everyone as a whole from races having there own inherent abilities, making a deeper setting for your game. And also, (and this may be nit-picking) But maybe even being able to choose your skin color at character creation, like, African and Caucasian (just for appearances, of course). Again, all this so that characters can be more diverse and make a deeper game
  7. @Tyr: > 1\. i think this was requested before several times > 2\. it doesn't need that much scripting at all :) its sourcing anyway.. > 3\. what do you want to do with the race, use it this way? > > - on creating a character, you can choose your race (of course you have a custom sprite) > - it is a requirement for items (to wear) and spells? > > when this is everything you need, i might consider making it… as it has been requested several times :) To answer your question, Those are great possibilities, another idea is direct adjustments to base stats, like an Orc would be stronger than the typical human, but dumb, so he wuld have lower mp, and an elf would have an innate taste for magic and be more agile, but overall frail (lower base hp)
  8. Meh, perhps someone can make a script and GUI for it till then..?
