  8. When you press F5, you're only running debug mode. File -> Make Server.exe… is the proper way to do it. Still isn't related to my issue.

  10. Firewalls blocking nothing. And yea, I allowed the eclipse port access to the internet and vice versa.
  11. Hi there ! I'm looking for skilled individuals to tackle these tasks within the Crystalshire Developer Edition source. I don't mind you ripping from other engines and reusing it (this method might actually mean each task is like an hour, tops) as long as you give credit where it's due. In order of importance; [ ] - Paperdoll system - I understand the workload required to fully PD items, so no lectures on "it'll take you forever" [ ] - Create a character - with interchangeable hair, eyes and skin colors. Customisation is what makes online RPGs. [ ] - Guild System Your name will be in the credits from now and even in the future version. I'm hoping to get a VB6 foundation and then use the art and music assets for a C++ SFML remake. Thanks for readin'! If you can help me out. I'll be very appreciative.
  12. I've tried with EO 4.0, EO 3.0, Eclipse : Final Frontier, Crystalshire DE, Eclipse Worlds and a bunch of other ones. People can't connect to the server.exe. I'm pretty sure I portforwarded properly, but I've never really had to port forward for anything, except like one game of Renegade back in 2004. Halp.
  13. Yeah, sometimes you need to reboot VB6 a couple of times. I had that problem and fixed it - totally unrelated to the issue I'm having now.

  15. I'm using the Crystalshire DE client from Robin's Bundle pack. It was all going fine until I changed the classes.txt serverside file, there are 3 classes, and I changed max_classes = 3 to max_classes = 1 and deleted the information for the other 2 classes. Then I began to get runtime error 97 when I registered and tried to make a character with class 2 or class 3\. class 1 works fine.   17. I'm looking for a banner to go on the game client and two small icons. The game name is Skycrown. I'm looking for that written in gold in horizontal. Similar to the Crystalshire logo, but with a golden crown above the "row" in the word Skycrown. The entire name should have black outline so that it'll be easily visible in the client. I would also like two small icons, 16x16 for the game window and 32x32 (?) for the application shortcut image. The icon has to be a crown with 3 or 4 points on a cloud, on a solid blue background. This might be hard at 16x16 so just the crown will do. Let me know if you need more information, I have a very clear picture of what it is I would like.   22. Still looks good ya. minus the fact that almost every tile there doesn't fit to standards. 16x or 32x. You'd need to edit every tile there if you wanted to use it in eclipse. Everything be the darn wrong size.
  23. Wow. This and Elandor Chronicles. Your art loses versus Elandor though, because the art is more harmonious on Elandor and has a better colour palette.

  25. The issues are very much still there. I would not recommend using any of the Eclipse brand, you'll find that you have to use Visual Basic 6 to edit anything! The IDE for VB6 is like bleach for the eyes. Plus it's an old and constrained language unless you use some really overly-complicated techniques learned through practice. Wait for MirageC++ or Robin's new C++ engine (if it turns out to be open-source).
