  1. I see a lot of people wondering how the background will turn out when coded, no worries, I edited the image so the repeat is barely noticeable. Still making changes while coding the basic stuff out so thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do.

    I also plan to incorporate some jQuery after finishing a project for a class that required it to spice the site up a bit.
  2. I'm no expert in anatomy but I can point out a few things for ya that could help. :embarrassed:

    Your forearms are a little rectangular, it should have some curvature, getting a little skinnier around the wrists.

    Torso could use work but I'm pretty sure you know that.

    Other than that, it looks fine. I'm sure with practice and reference you'll do good.
  3. Aside from what's already being said..

    You could use some soft gradients instead of solid colors. With that, you could  try to differentiate the header and footer region the rest of the site, which is a pretty common technique…

    If you have an image editor, look up a few tutorials on some simple buttons and textures you could use to match the banner you had Devo make you to spice up your navigation bar. Right now, its pretty dull with just 2-3 css styles.

    Also, your nav is off center from your scroll. o_o

    And refrain from arial or at least use an array of different fonts. There's a list of different typefaces built in you could use..Iuno, maybe tahoma instead for the nav? -.-;

    Just stuff off the top of my head...

    I think Rory means that hop animations need more than just 2 frames for it to actually look like a hop. Right now, it just looks like the sprite is teleporting up and down. Try adding like, the sprite bending its knees before it jumps and when it lands to make it more convincing.

    It does look like a fansite because of all the information I'm providing of the actual game; gonna fix that.. Also thanks for reminding me that I'm forgetting the most important part: a frikken download link! Probably thats why.. <_<..Maybe even I'll even add a "Store" page for micro transactions? lol..

    Yeah, I've coded something like this before for previous sites I've worked on similar to this. I think it should be fine, plus I have a few friends to help if I get stuck somewhere who's in the business.
  7. This is a mock layout of a site I plan to do for my project in photoshop. There's still a lot that needs to be done but I think you get the basic idea.  :embarrassed:

    A lot of things are still subject to change so I was wondering what you guys think before I start cutting this up and coding it into an actual site.

    Content area is just a placeholder..so keep that in mind. :S
  8. Yeah tone down the glow on the second one and you definitely have my vote for it. It looks much more like a "logo" because of the unique extra bits added to the text that we can probably easily recognize and associate it with your game. :/

    Plus, your first one is in jpg and is pixelated which just ruins it for me, sorry. -_-

    I changed the colors to compliment it better as you said I could in your PM(I tried the requested colors, it looked really bad..)

    You can ask someone else if you don't like it since it's pretty far from what you probably had in mind. (I had trouble trying to create the black flames I had in mind. -_-)
  11. Adding bevel and emboss to pixel art is a big no no, it goes against the point of pixel art…and your bars are now kinda like, solid colors which is kinda bland....sorry, I don't like the default bevel and emboss filters on your buttons. :(
  12. Next time you request something and this goes for everyone…be as detailed as possible and avoid vague statements like

    and

    > somthing that would make you keep looking

    I removed the game cause its kinda redundant sounding. But if you want me to put it back in, just say so.

    It's not really a problem with your skill but the choice in design I guess. Simple is sometimes best if you know how to use it effectively.

    Save yourself the flaming and remove copyrighted sprites from one of the most well known MMOs as free sprites you want credit for finding..
