i don't want to swich over to another engine, so i guess ill keep working on learning VB6, see if i can't figure it out. if any one knows how to do this in EO or if ts going to be added in the future let me know. thanks everyone.

Hey all, ive been looking at adding Ranged weapons in EO. Such as a Bow or gun. turns out its alot of work lol, i can do the paperdolls and such its just the coding. ive gone thought the search and i havn't realy found anything usefull as far as adding them. Im still new to VB6, and this is probably alot more then i can do myself, and i can't buy it. it be a huge help if some one could help me with this or point me to a post that dosn't end with buy it here. thanks for the help, if i missed somthing when i searched im sorry,

I don't know if its just me being dumb, but i can't seem to get NPC's to attack on sight in EO, under the NPC editor i select attack on sight, click send, then reload the map but nothing happens. any idea why ? Thanks.

will do. but if i set move ment to WASD, if i enter chat mode by pressing enter then iff you type any words with WASD in them then the caracter still moves so i was thinking of somthing like If chaton = False Then 'Move Up If GetKeyState(vbKeyW) < 0 Then DirUp = True DirDown = False DirLeft = False DirRight = False Exit Sub Or somthing like that

Thanks for the help i had no idea how to go about doing somthing like that :D EDIT: i noticed if you press Enter then type it'll still effect what the player dose. so will i have to setup a Boolean for every Key i Setup? if so thats easy enough now that i know a bit more about what im doing. thanks again

Howdy all. im a bit new to doing the scriping stuff, but im willing to learn and so far ive been pritty good at adding scripts that people have already made. any way i wanted to make a part in my game so players would have to press enter to begin typing then enter again to send the text. this is so i can use other keys make hotkeys for things with out every one always spraying gipperish from button mashing. im still learning my way around VB6 and EO's scource code. so ill probably be asking alot of questions that are simple for every one else. i apologize in advanced. Thanks for the help EDIT: it would also be ok if the had to press T to chat then enter to send, instead if that makes it easyer.

Hello everyone, its been a long time. loving the new eclipes, but i do need some help. first things first, i currently have Visual basic 2010 installed, and i was wondering if it has to be visual basic 6\. second and im sure sombody has already asked but i honestly couldn't find it (sorry), how do i open EO in visual basic. any way thats it for now. sorry if somthing like this is already posed, its kinda late for me right now so im probably just being blind. also, i might not be on in the next few days, so i may not respawn rightaway.

Go to [DYNDNS.com](http://DYNDNS.com) Creat an account Under the My Services place when you first log in and click Add host sevice 4\. Fill out the form Put a name in the box, click the drop down tap and go to .ath.cx (its the smallest Check –-Create wildcard alias for Use auto detected IP address ---.---.---.--- (that sets up the Ip people will use to conect to your server!) Now every time your Ip address changes, you'll have to go on and change your ip on that site... But you can fix!! 5\. [https://www.dyndns.com/support/clients/windows.html](https://www.dyndns.com/support/clients/windows.html) download, Install, config to your account (instructions are there) 6\. Port forwarding so clients can connect difrent for every rougter, google yours and find out how ! 7 make sure windows fire wall is allowed for server ! NOTE:!!!! do all above on host PC !!!! 8\. on the clients PC go and put yout URL for the server pc in ( YOURNAME.ath.cx ) 9\. should work if ports are forwarded corecly ! 10\. have fun hope this helps

Hi, I’m currently working on an Idea for an online Third Person Shooter (TPS), The idea is that Players will choose a class, or "Specialty" such as: Close Combat (shot guns, SMG ect…) Ranged (Sniper Rifles ect....) and more Then Players will start off in a town with Enough money for a beginner Weapon Then they’ll Head over to a "War Zones" witch are PVP areas were they'll battle each other (Different level players will fight in Different Zones). Each Kill will earn so much money, and EXP based on the lvl of the player you kill, The Higher your lvl the better guns you can get and More money so you can buy better guns and Clothing to set you a part from the rest, Some War Zones Will be, Fields or Buildings Others could be Streets or Parks. There will be 1 Main town For Buying Weapons and clothing, and chatting, and heading out to War Zones. That’s the basic Idea behind the Game, but there’s a lot to do to make it work We’ll need: Graphic Artists: -Sprits Male And Female Sprits in basic camo -Tiles -War Buildings Broken Furniture, holes in walls, ect... -War Town Beat up, broken Buildings, - Safe Town Normal Looking Buildings - Safe Buildings Normal looking Furniture -Paper Doll -Weapons Any Gun/ Weapon you can think of ! -Clothing Cool looking clothing! Mappers A lot of mapping to do Hope your up for it! Scripting We might need scripts so when people go to war zones they don’t spawn in the same places or you’ll get people waiting for them, and so when the die the re-spawn in that war zone in random spot, but also so they can chose to re-spawn or go back to town. other info: i will teperary host server untill we find a good host! Hi im looking for a scripter or programer, for a my GUI it looks good but i want it to have a patcher loading bar built in to the main menu, it has to automaticly download the patches when there done to. ive seen a few games with this so im hoping its not to hard to do, it would also be nice if it could have an online player count on the main menu, but if not o well, i already have the main menu GUI made, heres a picture, just need too put an patching bar. thax for your help :D

i am looking for a good client patcking program / script, i want it to have a loading bar on the main menu, and auto maticly place the downloaded files were they need to go! and i want it so they cannot login until they patch the client! here is a pic of what it looks like now and sorta waht i want it to look like, it would also be nice if there was a box that said how many players were online !
