If it's custom made from scratch, what programming language you used? Yeah background is hideous, its there for temporary use. as far as the engine, GML is the language. The engine is made from scratch from the game. Its a Turn Based ORPG with capturing features of most enemies (Minus bosses, elites and such). You can only capture pets if; 1\. You're a Tamer Class 2\. Have the right type of Capturing mechanism (Made from the Engineer Class) 3\. Pets health is below 25% HP Trying to put a new spin on ORPGs instead of the normal hack/slash.

Hey, I don't know if many people remember me from the old Mirage/Konfuze/Elysium days but I have been revisiting the idea of bringing my old zelda-style game back to life, did some researching again and led me back to Eclipse. How are things now a days? I watched a few videos from the updates and man it has come a long way since when marsh ran it. Is it still a free engine, or is it a buy to use engine? -Lambo

  9. We're hoping to get this thing rolling again.. Like I said, Before we lost the code, we had a very promising game. The team is ready, we just need someone to take the ideas and make them reality. Its nothing on the coding of WoW or something, but Its not some run of the mill game either :)
  10. We're trying man… I recently got back with the original team minus John (Elysium owner) who doesn't seem interested in the game anymore. I have MUCH more stuff, as Eretz was in closed beta before it shut down. If we can find someone who is capable, we'll gladly show what we can do :)

I've been a long time member of Mirage Source/Konfuze/Elysium Forums and I'm sure if ya'll trolled there, You've seen my work and or Eretz. Eretz was killed a few years ago after many years in development from a computer crash, but I have reunited with some of the team members from the original Awakening days and we have decided to resurrect Eretz if we can find a programmer who is capable to take ideas for the game and make the reality. Current team members (I am the only one on this forum) Lamborghiniz : Head spriter, Designer, Pixel artist Creepy/Shane : Designer, Mapper, concepts XZIBIT : Designer, Mapper ----EX/Old team members---- Joost - Programmer John - Programmer Backstory and old stuff (Which is still good stuff) ;) Hey Everyone, As you all probably know by now, Eretz (Formerly Awakening) Has been in production for the past few years (Off and on) It had its ups and downs, but now we have a really strong team (Members listed below), Excellent ideas, and plenty of support from our supporters Storyline (Rough Draft) The World of Talmar, A place of wonders, but also a place of great civil war. For Hundreds of years, The towns of Milen and Triton have been at civil war. Senseless killing has taken its toll on the world. In spite of the tragic losses throughout the years, Many heroes still fight for their towns. While all the fighting has been going on in the overworld, Deep in the underworld, Lies The Ungodly Underworld king, Oblivion. He has plotted to take the Overworld in the name of the Underworld. Recently, The Overworld was struck by a series of violent Earthquakes, Thus allowing Oblivion to have his chance to reign over the Overworld. Oblivion Corrupts many of the inhabitants of the Overworld, Make them fight for him, As well as bringing Unearthly creatures from the Underworld to help with the takeover. Word spreads of this take-over, And in a vast effort, The two Towns of Milen and Triton have sent their finest heroes to take down Oblivion and his reign over the Overworld. Able to use One-Handed weapons with Shields, Or under the right tree, Two-Handed heavy damage dealing class. Uses magic as its main source of attacking and defending, Great support class. Able to use up to cloth armor. - Skill Trees - Salvation - Supporting Tree, Does some moderate damage spells, Enhances player(s) with buffs - Anarchy - Damage dealing Tree, Does extreme damage at the cost of high mana skills usage. Assassin in Butcher's Set, Using two Dagger's Of Maiming : (Sorry its blown up) - Skill Trees - Cunning - Damage dealing with MELEE weapons, Only tree where the the player can STEALTH (At the cost of Mana per Second) - Trapper - Deals damage with traps. Able to lay two traps down at once, Each one disappears after 30 seconds. Traps can only be seen if the enemies AGILITY is over the amount for that trap - Mastery - Damage delt + damage taken tree. Sacrifices the high damage for increasing HP and damage that can be taken. Also the only tree that allows the player to run faster.   14. Yep, All bosses have animations, Most all directions, Some will have just some directions (Depending if they are stationary or not)

Oh sorry, Yes, The Sprite is custom :) I made the original sprite, Vans added the eye patch and the club. @ Kreator : Yes, we are using a DX8 Custom Engine, It is, however, Mirage Converted to DX8 with our own features. The tiles are 16x16 and the sprites are 16x24 and This giant is 48x48.
