I've had this problem for about a day. I've made a spell and an NPC (who has the highest set health so it can't be that he's dieing), I've made my guy learn the spell and memorize it. But when I go to cast it on the enemy NPC (who's set to attack when attacked) my character does the spell action by no spell happens. …these items do not appear right in the inventory. Full Story: I created a spell book item and found a scroll image to go with it. I put it in one of those red outline boxes in the item.bmp sheet. I then selected that picture in the edit item panel. But when I get the item in my inventory it appears as a white box. I moved the item to a part of the sheet which was black (staying near the very top) and it came out as a helmet. Little help?

So I've made a new project (old one got messed up because I "accidentally" deleted it) and edited the map size in data.ini from 30x30 to 150x150\. When I try to start my server it gets to "Spawning map items" then gives me Runtime Error 9 Subscript out of range. When I change back to 30x30 though, everything boots up fine. I've created no maps (well none with anything on them, they are just a load of black squares) and am using **EE 2.7** - the most recent one available to download on the main page. I've restarted the server about 10 times and my computer once but no success.

So I've got EE 2.7 and built quite a nice map (yay me) but it just dawned on me that I need to know t least a bit of Sad Script before I can make my games any good. I know there are a load of tutorials but, to be honest, I don't want to spend ages looking through them all trying to find a tutorial which tells me what I want to hear - or see as the case is. So can someone please hand me a link to a good Sad Script tutorial which is easy to understand and will tell me most of the stuff I need to know on how to make Quests, Skills, etc. Cheers big ears.

Where can I find out how to script advanced speech with NPCs. I already know how to do that bit in the NPC editor but I want to know how to make optional bits like: Hello, are you ok YES NO YES leads to ok then bye NO leads to why not. Thanks for any help .
