That is what I meant. The server and client are both set up to use Port 4000. The server seams to be able to see the client, and the client can tell if the server is not on, but if the server is on the client just keeps looking for the status and hangs there.

I forgot to mention. I am using version 2.7 of the engine.

I only have windows firewall. I gave permission when it asked. The port, is set to the same default 4000 I think.

Some basic info. I am using an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor with XP Professional on it. My client is set up to connect with 127.0.0.1 and the server initially says "Received connection from 127.0.0.1" The client meanwhile just says "Receiving News…" and "Server status: Checking" Does anyone know why? I have gotten it to work on a different machine, but that one does not have internet access. (broken NIC.. Laptop)
