  1. Hey guys I'm new here so figured I'd just take this opportunity to introduce myself, and express my thanks to those people who made this seemingly incredible engine. So anyway, I'm "Fenix" (God that sounds so gay), I haven't yet started a game with this baby, though I probably will soon. Anyway, I've used RPG Maker XP and VX, as well as several similar MMORPG making engine things. I think I might have even tried Eclipse back on one of your earlier phases (though if I had a username here, I have no idea what it might have been). I'm reasonably skilled, I consider myself a good mapper (Which you'll be able to either confirm (or deny) once I start a game). I can also "edit" graphics, like sprites etc., though I am quite terrible at starting from scratch since my drawing skills are non-existent. I can do alot with music. I have a nifty recording program called Cakewalk, and when I do make a game, I plan on having entirely homemade music. As far as what I like in a game, detail and features which aren't going to be found in an average MMORPG are the two biggies. Things like political and economic systems are what will allow a game with sprite based graphics to achieve at least cult success (I almost typed "some mainstream success," but in all honesty, I highly doubt anything made with one of these could achieve too much of that (though there was a game called MagiKnights along time ago which seemed to have been made with Player Worlds)) So anyway yeah, I think a great game allows players to participate in building the game world. I don't mean like allowing them to map, but by participating in an in game government, setting laws, creating businesses, etc. This is the strength of games with otherwise inferior graphics, like Graal, and Dark Ages. I never understood what gets people on these type of sites to make games who's features include, "PvP" and nothing else. Personally, I would be bored out of my mind before I got anywhere close to finishing. Anyhoo, nice ta' meet you all! I notice the community here is significantly bigger than some of the other places I've tried, so hopefully that will translate into more success.
