Anyway, you get the drift… REALLY bad advice.

SHIT. HOT. Find yourself with some spare time, don't twiddle your thumbs, come to me, I'll find a use for you. ;) I could really use a few artists of your magnitude.
  6. @IceCream: > I'm.. Gonna lock this. > > Not really in the mood to do this anymore. > but.. > > Kreator.. I'm surprised you used pure black as the background.. Can't really give you a rating on it, its not pixel art. > > Pixel art uses a painting technique done.. Pixel by Pixel. and.. ONLY that. so no blur programs or auto AA, or even a auto gradient. Didn't use any of the above, just not used to limiting my palette, no worries, was just practice anyway. :D Nice sword Kreator. ^^
  7. ![](http://i31.tinypic.com/s43vvt.png) Its got a ton of colors in it. (A bad thing I know but, its just the way I pixel.) I originally aimed for an S shaped handle but, found it was a little out of my league.
  8. @IceCream: > No no no!! I'm trash at isometric lol. All lies. Har Har.
  9. @Good: > I don't believe that. You should, I've been working really hard on some really ground breaking stuff. ;D
  10. @Sakoshi: > My sprite was from your tut.. Except that was just a test what I really need to know is the isometric view which is going to be extremely difficult for me. Ahh, Isometric. ICT's speciality. ;D I have the same problem, going to try this tutorial, could do with the practice. :D
  11. @Good: > Couldnt find much to comment on. But I'll do so on your latest sprites. Firstly, the palette is a bit extreme. I would try and cut down and use perhaps 6, or 8 colors max. Secondly, you've attempted a lot of detail to show muscles and such, which is good, however the outlines are all the same color. Attempt lightening the outlines, especially to show > > WTF IS THAT > > I think something just crashed not far from my house. I appreciate you kind words, and I'll take into consideration what you've said, ofcourse your right. The Outline needs work. As do a few other area's of concern. Having trouble motivating the artists at the moment but, I promise, progress will be made and I'll post an UNBELIEVABLE update soon. The MASSIVE challenge will be taking those sprites and creating the other 6 dimensions, the other 9 Races and the extra stances/animations required. @mhedoos: > the sprites you use are pretty good but i think you will find a problem on paperdoll, also i would really like to see a new isometric/sidescrolling mmorpg Very true but, paperdoll issues was inevitable, as we'll be using an Expanded paperdoll. @Lam3r: > Sorry but we've thought about it but it's not going to be a side-scroller :icon_crap: > it just wouldn't work with what we are looking to do w/ the game! > > BUT, i promise the game will kick ass anyway ;) I second that, I'm not a huge fan of Side Scrollers. Good to hear from you Lam3r. Over the next few days I'll be submitting further snippets from the Storyline and ellaborating (As promised.) further on the information provided. Keep your EYE on this topic.
  12. I appreciate your kind words, and though this topic has been left to grow wild for a few weeks I do care greatly. I eagerly await those tips and pointers. Hope tomorrows better for you Kreator. :D
  13. I don't blame you. The problem is… We don't really have the sprites we intend to use yet. The sprite we INTEND to use will highly resemble the top-most sprite but, will also take certain elements of the 2nd sprite down into consideration. A tricky one, eh?
  14. You think they STILL look like endless rips? I didn't think the legs were to bad, I'll have to give them a look over. And the palette needs reducing quite considerably. I will say this though: Please bear in mind our pixel artists are ENTIRELY amatuer and before this they had no Pixel Experience what-so-ever. Not to mention those latest Sprites are totally custom. Thanks for the input, I'll put some more time into them, taking what you said into consideration. Tell me though Kreator, what EXACTLY about the legs don't you like? And are the pictures squashed for you too?

I don't lke the actual SHAPE of the tree but, I love the palette you used. I'd bear in mind though, that it seems to conflict with the Pallette you decided to use for the grass. I'd say try adding a roof to the house and iron out the tree's shape problem and it may _stay_ favourite on Dev. Good luck.
  17. @Ambard: > Here is a pic of Ambardias most complete world map overview yet. In the game you can click on the different continents and it will zoom in to the actual screen shot maps of each area for more detail. > > ![](http://ambardia.com/AmbardiaGame/Maps/WorldMap92909.jpg) Over all I like the finished result but, there's something about it I don't like… Hmm... I guess its the ammount of Isometric shapes used, like The Royal Mainlands for instance, seems to be almost perfectly rectangular. I'd say add a few more "Random" outcrops of land and it'll be perfect!
  18. @IceCream: > Well.. as you can see in my Sig.. I'm working on a game.. and I've already posted a few things relating to it over the last weeks. > > Anyways.. without further adieu. > > ![](http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/2449/fullmapo.png) > > It's not finished. All those blobs of color and such are locations of towns . 6 Nations and then there is 10 villages that aren't aligned with those nations. Pwnt, that looks awesome ICT! Can't wait to see the final concept!
  19. It's pretty good for what I pressume is your first attempt? Pointer's: I'm not sure is your going for realism but, I'd Google Anatomy Images and consult some of the graphs its brings up, that helps a lot, it did for me anyway. You need to work more on the "Contours" of the body, taking closer attention to shadow and lighting and how those elements effect what we see, say for instance, the chest, you'd see a defining section of shadow between the pecks. Though saying that you've already shown basic understanding of how Shadow and Lighting works. *points at the head of the sprite* I'd say concentrate on the chest, arms and legs, as the basic outline of the sprite is fundamentally right, though may still need minor tweaks here and there. I think my biggest concern about this sprite, though it's fundamentally correct, is the level of detail, pixel art typically doesn't occur in 5 minutes, you'd have to be prepared to grool over them for some time before you get even a half decent result. A few tips: Get an action figure and a lamp, move the lamp around and see how it effects the figure, google "Anatomy", like I said and… Try to bear in mind that no part of the body, by nature is perfectly round and symmetrical. And move the head to the right a few pixels. Over all: You did good. I'd be proud to call that my first attempt. How long did it take you?
  20. @Rithy58: > This look VERY good but…it look more like a picture draw by hand rather than pixel art. > > But it's good sprites. > > Sincerely, > Rithy I appreciate your honesty, it was meant to be very basic. Keep them coming guys!
  21. @Azkanan: > Far more informative than most of the bs they have there… Just be careful how much information you give out. If you give out your best stuff, then somebody steals the idea, makes a crappy version of it in two days, it kinda kills any hopeful hype anybody could of had towards it. :) I see your point. BUT, no matter how much of our Idea's I give to the next generation of gaming, what our team porduces will be pure magic. And regardless of the functions the storyline will captivate you for many, many years to come. I've decided to make it open ended. Create history as you play, so to speak. There will be a legend keeper and a Hall of Heroes… Main story stretching for massive chapters and quests, campaign, crusades almost... Might Faction Clashes... Nothing they produce in 2 days could compete with that. Nothing. I've been told not to use the words "Potentially Award Winning" to describe my work (An ellaborate storyline, interwinding with other each of the other Races.) Though I previously have. I'm just waiting to compile some more information, ellaborate much further on what I've got, update the Graphics a little more and the Team Section. I'll keep you posted though. Feel free to ask questions. I'll answer honestly, if I can. If I can't I'll say.
  22. @The: > Nice… I'd might do Beta. Thanks. Recently updated. Still a bit of a mess.
