  1. Hi everyone, I run a gaming website/Game server provider named Fusionised.com, We are currently offering 3x Free Windows XP VPS servers for people who have completed or near completed 2D MMORPG games. I personally love these style games and therefore Fusionised.com want to offer this limited offer for a dedicated Windows XP VPS with full remote access (via Remote Desktop) to three game developers, for more infomation please see the post below. http://forums.fusionised.com/showthread.php?tid=15 Thank you, Regards, Bobby
  2. I didn't know Dan but that is incredibly sad news, rest in peace!
  3. @Zetta: > lol I was there! I remember it! > > the reason for the vet requirement is that I can usually trust vets to not totally duck the svn over. Ok fair enough, well thanks anyways Zeta Monkey and welldone with all the hard work you put in :)
  4. Fair enough, Cheers guys :) and INH, get some sleep then dude :)
  5. Hi Godlord, No you didn't flame down, you reply was constructive… .thanks :) Apart from you all other posts just seem like everyone just being picky - that's all, Just feel like I shouldn't have offered, after all, I was only trying to help.
  6. Bloody hell guys, just trying to help not only the team but also the community by hopefully helping in bringing its release date sooner rather than later…. Kinda wish I never said anything now!!! - Talk about flamed down! - Just all forget I ever said anything :(
  7. Cheers guys for your feedback and yeah I meant the maps, spells etc. etc. - I do know that you can't convert VB6 code to Java!! :)
  8. No I'll be honest I don't have any OpenGL or DirectX experience with Java, I've mainly only developed JDBC applications using Swing and AWT, So litterally just Windows based standard applications. I'm not too fused if you guys don't need me - I don't mean that in a bad way by any means, I was just offering my services as I know the development team currently only exists of one other person?? Just thought I may have been able to do some of the more boring tasks to free up HM up to work on the more 'hardcore' stuff if you like :) Im just so greatful for all the hardwork that HM/ZM and yourself (and other developers) have put in thats all just wanted to help in some way but if not needed then no problem :) Thanks for you fast reply :)
  9. Hi Marsh, HM etc… I would like to contribute to the project by aiding in the development of SE 3.0, I have moderate experience with Java, I currently mainly use Netbeans IDE and Eclipse to develop. I was wondering if you wanted a hand at all with anything? - I work full time but am always happy to give up free time to a good cause, I have worked on many open source projects in my time including running several too, so my experience of bug tracking, releasing etc is pretty good as well as experience with using SVN to collaborate with fellow team members. Please get into contact if I can be of any help, Regards, Bobby
  10. Hi everyone, If I was to start developing a game in EE 2.8 will I be able to convert it without too much hassle to 3.0 when that is released? - Or would you recommend I sit tight? Thanks in advance, Bobby
  11. @w1c: > Yes indeed, > as eclipse is os, you shouldn't let to much of microsoft software in ;) > Stick with java, anyone can learn it, it's stable and it has a huuuuge community!! A completely agree, It's best to stick with Java, Java is an awesome language and its cross-platform capabilities enable users running Linux, Unix, Mac and Windows to all play future games developed with 3.0….. What's the point developing it with a Microsoft sponsored language as Zetta Monkey said..... The engine will exists as long as Microsoft keep supporting the language where as Java is O/S and free to learn, develop and get support for :) Just want to say... I love you Zetta Monkey, keep up the good work buddy, we all really appreciate it :)
  12. Thanks for your help Devogen but now I know EE 3.0 is developed in JAVA its worth waiting for as it is now cross-platform compatible and the ability to embed it in a web-browser is excelent… Its such a great idea.... I just don't know why any of the other engines havent yet decided to do the same - Its definetely the way foward.... I mean you could write a new engine in .NET (however would only run on Windows based Pc/Servers) but if you can write an engine in JAVA which opens it up to all major operating systems and the ability to embed it into HTML then surely thats worth doing :)
  13. Ok excelent Ballie thanks for your reply…. I completely understand the meaning of 'When its done its done' being a developer myself working on many opensource projects such as [Elvin Bug tracking system](http://www.elvinbts.org/) and [ZPanel](http://thezpanel.liquid-network.net/) I know only too well. Thanks for your reply and im just chuffed that the engine is moving over to JAVA :)
  14. I personaly like Solar Eclipse as its JAVA based and Solaris is a Sun OS…. Good name :D
  15. Hi all, Its excelent to hear that the Eclipse Engine is going over to Java, as so many engines in a few months time will be rendered un-usable as Windows 7 apparently has no support what-so-ever for the VB6 runtime (I may be wrong but just what i've heard.) - Excelent to know that we will also be able to embed the game into a web page :) Does anyone know when this version Engine is likely to be released? Are there any screenshots of the work so far? Would love to know more about this version of the engine so please, please reply, keep up the good work Eclipse Developers :) Bobby
