  1. None of that is even remotely related to what Origins requires.

Hardware specs are useless. They'll almost all be going on running the operating system.

Origins uses 20mB of RAM on a large game and is completely dependant on bandwidth.

Stephan does nothing even remotely related to what I do.

Thanks for that completely baseless rebuttal, however.
  3. @Scott:

    > Hardly very very advanced, look up "vb6 mysql ado", its really really easy actually if you know how to work with mysql which is pretty easy in its self.

This is Eclipse. Anything which isn't pre-made is advanced.
  4. Talent is a very, very rare commodity. It's basically a case of becoming the very best at what you do. Talent attracts talent.

I'd say most artists would love to work on a project with me simply because I'm the best at what I do.

There's a fairly prominent sub-community within Eclipse which is reserved for the people who are the best at what they do. They generally work together on projects and help each other out. I think the 5 best projects over the last half-decade were created by this group.

Just keep going. Advertise the project, post some tutorials and shit and eventually people will be clammering to help you out.

I've warned you already. This is your final warning. Stop posting bullshit help.

    @SAubryTV:

    > Hm, after about 5 minutes of gui opening/closing i still cannot find it. Any suggestions?

The text is white. Opening GUIs in a program with a white background will mean you can't see it.

Use an editor which supports alpha channels.
  6. Do you currently fix it by restarting the server program or the server machine?

The way the timing system works relies heavily on system time. After your machine has been on for a certain amount of time it'll reset down to negative 2billion and screw everything up.

We've had instances of this causing this exact issue in the past.

This should not be happening daily, though. Even if you do have a large amount of players. Crystalshire runs for weeks at a time without a single issue and that's on a remote host. Even when I had it locally I needed to restart once a month, if that.
  7. Drop the attitude. Re-colouring the existing GUI does not constitute making a new one.

No matter what you do, if you don't have access to the source code your game will just be an exact replica of Crystalshire.

If you want to be arsy about it go do so elsewhere.
  8. Yeah, that was just me screwing around trying to get Photoshop-style layer rendering so Rory and I could create effects which translated from Photoshop to Crystalshire.

I think CS:DE was released halfway through the development process so you're left with a system which was only ever meant for testing. A real fog system would have much more options and functionality.
  9. @flamespeedy:

    > i doubt robin would lie , as Crytalshire is the best game on here at the moment.. but i listen to both sides of the story , just please guys work together or at least try and come to some sort of agreement

Yeah, listening to the story told by a website which is literally copied and pasting my shit and re-releasing it under another name is pretty damn stupid.

Don't take anything I say at face value, either. I'm just a normal guy.

Base your opinion on the facts of the situation, not the authority of the people involved.

Of course I'd love it if people shut the hell up and just believed everything I said, but that'd just leave us with a population which is far too trusting and far too gullible.

If someone releases a product which looks exactly like mine but 3 or 4 years after mine was released then it's probably safe to say it's stolen.
  10. @darkserver:

    > thanks took a while to find. :cheesy:

Nice edit, bro. Next time you want to claim other people's work as your own you should do it on a community which isn't frequented by the person you stole from.

There are plenty of websites dedicated to stealing my work and re-releasing it under other people's names. You should go join those sites.
