  1. Thanks! I always appreciate feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed them. I do put a lot of work into my music and it's always nice when others enjoy them. :)
  2. Hello, I'm posting here to offer my services as a video game composer. I need to practice my composition, arrangement, and production so I figured a good way to do that would be to take requests for games. I can compose in several different styles. I've done ambient, orchestral, electronic and 8bit video game pieces in the past. Because of how long it takes to make a song I'd like to charge at least some money for my work, but if you can't pay pm me, because if I really like the idea of a song you want I might do it for free. In order to be consistent I charge 5 USD per minute of song length. It takes anywhere from 5-20+ hours for a song, so I think that 5 dollars a minute is a fair price. Price is negotiable though. Feel free to pm me. I can work with you in order to get it sounding the way you want it. Don't be hesitant to point out parts you don't like. I can rework them. Now without further adieu I'd like to show some of my music so you can get a feel for my composition style. 8bit Style: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/355464 Electronic Style: http://soundcloud.com/kylethedarkn/platforms-in-the-factory Orchestral Style: Midi: http://www.box.com/s/227843a061261111c2c1 Not Midi: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/463577 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/449636 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/452254 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/386026 Thanks for listening, hope you liked what you heard. :)
  3. Well seeing as I'm in a lull period with the development of my own game, I though I might as well write some music that is more inspired than just random generic pieces. So, with that being said, I am taking requests for songs. Here is a link to some of my work so that you may judge if I am good enough to request a song from: http://soliniaonline.newgrounds.com/audio/ As for the format of the request, I would appreciate it, if you would post as follows. **Name of Location/Track**: This one is easy, what is the name of the place/person that I am writing for. **What Are The Emotions:** Do you want the song to convey certain emotions. This one is important be specific. **Info about the song:** Is there any lore, and history behind the location/person the song is for. This is great for establishing atmosphere and helps me immensely when writing. I will be taking requests 3 at a time, by a first come first serve basis. I do not know how long it will take for me to complete a track, but it shouldn't take more than 10 days tops. 1. 2. 3. Post Away!
  4. Very nice, and very well produced. My only gripe is that sometimes the delay on the pluck sound, sounds a little bad. :P
  5. Wrote this today after feeling in an Eclipse mood. :P
  6. @The: > They're okay zelda maps, but terrible maps. Read some tuts, zelda or not. I have and they suck. FUCK YOU. ALSO GO FUCK YOURSELF. WITH A SIDEDISH OF FUCK YOU.
  7. @â—„_Desiderium_â–º: > Grass to stone and stone to swamp etc.. > It's just lines, there's no enbankment Yeah…because the tilesheets don't have em. Unless you wanna make grass growing through stone.
  8. @â—„_Desiderium_â–º: > It does look horrible, because the transitions don't exist. > Look at any popular game, do they have transitions? What are you even talking about when you say transitions?
  9. @Kreator: > Considering that every different member who posted on this topic said the tileset mixing was horrible, I don't think its very biased. You need to grow up and take criticism better. Don't get insulted because your maps are bad. Work on their problems and improve. If this was real criticism like hmm that tree looks out of place, or hey you know you could use a this here, then I would take it. But when everyone says tile mixing is bad don't tile mix. And then I look at the tiles I mixed and they look fine visually. They don't look outta place and they blend. And I say well they are just saying there bad cuz I mixed tile sets not because the maps actually look bad. @УvøgêÑ:How bout that giant Zelda field?
  10. Usually I expect fair review not this biased crap. Plus its hard to make anything decent with the default tiles because they suck to begin with. I still think mixing tiles sets is A-Ok. If it doesn't make it look bad then its completely fine.
  11. Gah. I don't know why I even asked for review in this place. There is nothing wrong with mixing tile sets in the right way like I did with the swamp and city tiles. Also Maps that are too detailed limit walking which is the most annoying part of any game in Eclipse. Plus they looked cluttered. If you can show me a detailed map that doesn't limit walking and isn't cluttered looking then I'll start making maps like that.
  12. @‡ƒorce‡DDunit‡: > Mixing tilesets=bad :( No It doesn't. I dunno where you guys got the idea you can't mix tilesets, but its dead wrong. Too Empy? I don't want those cluttered pieces of crap that a lot of mappers make. Ok I'm used to the the Zelda tiles which have no transitioning really. I've used the default tiles a whole 2 times maybe. Really I want feedback on the Zelda ones.
  13. Hmm lets see. I can do Zelda Majora's mask in around 5:30 also I can 2day challenge it. And I can do OoT in about 7:30 but that's a horrible time for me.
  14. Made some Zelda style maps and some default maps that I wan't to get opinions on. I know the city looking one with the default tiles is kind cramped but it's easier to map all on one screen rather than try and make things match on four different screens. :)
  15. yeah just a zelda map I made. I have more but I'm too lazy to take screenshots right now so I'm just posting the one I already uploaded. Please rate, if people rate I'll post more. ![](http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa290/kylethedarkn/newkokiri.jpg) And yes I know there is a turquoise tint on some stuff but ignore that when you rate it.
