As most of you know and if you don't already, You have two members of African-American descent in your presence. I know most of you haven't noticed but I couldn't help but notice people labeling blacks as "them" or "they", just say black or African American. Is there a problem with that? It's what "they" (we) are…
;the reason most blacks say 'nigga' and nigger around each other is because they feel they can, and the reason a lot of whites and other races feel that they cant say it is because unconsciously the black percent that don't like other races saying the N word feel that it is not their right to say it. Of course the majority of humanity may just say, then why dont we just all stop saying it? and the answer to that is because the world is too big to change and there is a lot more people against changing it and not trying to change it.
In my opinion, Black History Month should not be taken away and should not be thought of as racist, its a month out of all the months devoted to recognizing strong African American historical figures that have reformed life. I also think that if there WASN'T a month to talk about those figures then no one would remember them. Of course most people may just say we will learn about them in school and through textbooks, But is that really ENOUGH to describe how horrible slavery was? Is that enough to get people to know that the person sitting next to them and the person they are friends with, would not be there today without people who cared enough to stop slavery?
And the other months ARE all about other races, maybe not about whites but whites are the majority in the world are they not? Dont you think were tired of hearing about the struggle for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness? Dont you think there should be a little "color" thrown into that bland story?
Seems like an act of God if you think about it...life for the US was just boring ole fighting, winning, and losing, then Dutch Ships drop off about 20 Africans and there's a little color added to the story. Of course those Africans were indentured servants(people who worked as servants for food and other supplys to support families and such), but once again some color was splashed into the story by the White man thinking "Why dont we just keep them as our own slaves? They can tend our plantations and earn us lots of money." Then Slavery starts, so God is giving the U.S some color but not before they work for it, and most people fell in to the sweet deal of slavery and went on with their same boring lives again, but others...abolitionists we call them kept to the simple faith that no man should be a slave to any other and fought to abolish slavery. Here we are today, Black History Month...And people are calling it racist?
What has the world become... -
We should have Abortion and non-abortion states in the US, other places can do as they please. You know how there used to be Slave states and free states, Do the same with Abortion although using Slavery as an example might offend some people within the US and they might just say "blah blah blah same as slavery blah blah dont want"…worth a try if the Government will even do that.
