  1. Hey, I'm Latros, an intermediate Mapper (only that, scripting to me is like algebra to a baby) looking for a mapping job with a team of more than 3 people already working on a game. I worked with Gh0st on our old game Isles of Lore, but lost interest and motivation due to demanding social issues, but now I'm wanting to get back in the game. I think a large part of the reason I left was because it was simply Gh0st and I that were working on it. I feel as though now that several social issues are wrapped up (beginning of school, mid-terms, girlfriend) I will have many-an-hour to aid in the process of making a great game. A large part of what I am looking for is a team of 3 or more people with some progess made, and people that are willing to accept a new members ideas! :) I have many great Ideas, including story-writing. I am looking for a heavily lore-based game, where I can influence my ideas on the other team members, and help some stories come into action (Quest storys, main storys, anything will do). Although my main job will be mapping, I hope I can help make the game as original and lore-based as possible. **I am not interested in any remakes of Final Fantasy, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, or any other games like that!** I want a game that is completely original, Runescape is a fine example of what I'm looking to be a part of, Unique storylines, Skills, Quests, but no pokemon or trading card game battles! ![](http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o49/latros/Demo.jpg) Contact Info : MSN : [email protected] HOTMAIL : [email protected] :P
  2. Hello! This is Latros, a newcomer to the forums, but not to game making. I have experience in 3D Game Software, some coding, among other things, until my interests shifted towards the online game making genre. After working 2 weeks to make a small 3d hunting game, and playing it for 2 hours in my basement, I realized I wanted other people to experience my and anyone who assisted me/I assisted's work. Sure enough, I asked around, and a friend from Runescape showed me EE2.3! It looked easy enough, and the graphics were lack at best, but it kept things simple, and I liked that. After a week or so of him teaching me, we decided to start working together on a game. We decided to name it "Isles of Lore", and here I will explain a few breif things about the game (not giving away too much! Stfu Gh0st..) for you guys to look forward to, if you're interested! (By the way, Gh0st is my teacher and kinda boss on this project, he should put some input here about the game, but not too much or I'll shoot you, k Gh0st?) THE GAME : **Title : Isles of Lore Genre : Fantasy Brief overview : 4 islands, each with their own main storyline conflict. Each introduces new monsters, and each island is only accessible (and survivable) once your character has reached a high enough level.** Detailed Overview : Their are 4 main islands, Dra'ad (Dray-Ad) Levels 1-20,30 : The "tree" island. Lush forests, lots of greenery, by far the most inviting of the islands, due to its friendly atmosphere (don't be fooled! all of the islands will be dangerous!). No information on this islands lore or main conflict will be announced in this post (yet..) Emys (Em-eez) Levels 25-40,55 : The "ice" island. Very cold, plain, snowy. Trolls will have a large part as the villains on this island, other than that, no information on this islands lore or main conflict will be announced in this post (yet..) Kalon (Call-On) Levels 45-65,75 : The "desert" island. Very dusty, sandy, mountainy to the north. An evil ruler will play a large part in this islands storyline :) Other than that, no information on this islands lore or conflict will be announced in this post (yet…) Engom (In-gawm) Levels 80-90 : The "despair" island. There is a large volcanoe situated on the western half of this island, that has made the entire island black as death. The final area of the game, where the best gear, most exciting "Party" content, and most exciting dungeons are located (or is it?). No more information on this islands lore or main conflict will be announced on this post (yet..) Rend : Pk (Player Kill) island. This island is open to any and all characters, though It will not be advised for low levels to go here, as it will likely be a popular spot for many well geared, high levels, and if you are a newcomer, a death will result in an experience penalty, that will make it difficult to level if you are a newby. This island will have no storyline, it will only have exciting castles and landmarks to battle in. Hint : The level cap is 100, but the highest islands has content only for up to level 90? Perhaps their is something major we're not revealing here... OTHER CONTENT "Party" content : This is likely a new aspect to the EE gaming community. Though im sure many games already have party content, this will be very different. Much like in the games "World of Warcraft" and "Everquest" 1 & 2, their will be several monsters in the game with EXTREMELY exceptional drops, and an overall good time to be had. This monsters will be VERY, VERY hard to reach, and will spawn not very regularly. Their will likely be HEAVY lore behind these monsters. The main reason however that these monsters will be a change, will be that they will take UP TO TWENTY PLAYERS TO KILL. Yes, that's right, twenty plus. Attempting to kill one of these monsters alone will be a hilarious sight at best. This is about as much information as im willing to give away at this time, post what you think! **Though this is a decently detailed introduction to the game, this is IN NO WAY the ENTIRE GAME. This is but a FRACTION of the things there will be in the game, and I encourage all of your support. Suggestions are welcome, as well as people contacting either I or Ghost about the job we put out ;) hope to see you folks in our game soon enough! Bye!** P.S : Gh0st and I are looking for another mapper to help us with this project. This person will be granted "owner" status, and many other uber priveledges, but under certain conditions : You must have MSN Messenger, and be VERY active on your computer. A minimum of, oh I don't know, 5-10 GOOD, BUGLESS MAPS will be required to be made per week (once we show you the map of the game with the map grid, you'll see why). Though that sounds daunting, you will be joining us at the best stages of these games, the stages that much input will be required.
