The lag is odd, the game shouldn't be exhaustive to run on even low spec systems. What are you running out of curiosity?

Whole game. Only thing I can think of that I didn't do is the GUI and the game icon which is just a default for now. -

What's with all the mixed graphics? The sprites are at 200% zoom, yet nothing else is. Some art appears pixelled, while others are gradients or just RPG Maker sprites.

Black Cat's Story is currently in development. A demo has been released to give a small sample of what is to come, showcasing the feel of the world and storyline. I am managing a private group on facebook for supporters whom wish to regularly test and provide feedback and suggestions. Are any members of the community interested in playing this game together again? As you'll view in the last player list, we had a LOT of community members playing together. It was quite a success, but over time, the game suffered from lag, some lost interest, others died (permanently). Now that Haven and Hearth has it's lag issues improved, and the new world, I thought it would be great to start playing again!
If this gets enough interest, we'll start a new player list, and a new spawn zone for everyone to meet at. Following spawning and adding each other in game, we can then organise a few small things, like everyone can register on a topic who they are in-game, and what profession(s) they will aim for so we can have a diverse number of skills between us, and know who can do what.
Here is a screenshot for those unfamiliar with the game. Its a hardcore sandbox mmorpg-

New graphics are great, love the grass and trees. House definately reminds me of mine, but great ideas can't be kept secret haha. Shadows definately could use some touch-ups. My only other concern is that the graphics don't match the theme of the game. It looks like a fantasy rpg, not a zombie survival.

With game titles I find that what may seem cliche, oftentimes ends up becoming memorable due to it's simplicity. Examples include Dragon Warrior, Everquest, Dungeons and Dragons and so on. I also love Elandor Chronicles so I'm torn. Have you considered combining the two, such as : Elandor Chronicles: Tales of a New World. It gives the idea that the game has a mysterious legacy and leaves room for, if you so decide, future sequels.

Ok. I've added Elandor Chronicles to the poll. I was hoping for a final name thats both simple and catchy, but if Elandor Chronicles has a lot of favor from the community perhaps I'll stick with it.

It's a tough decision for me. The continent is named Elandor, and the game is planned to be released in segments so Elandor Chronicles is suiting. Emberstorm sounds fun and fantastic so it's awesome, and Tales of a new World is adventurous.
I got some feedback from friends, and one of them said Emberstorm sounds too much like a noun referring to 'a storm of embers', which would make a bad name premise unless there is something related in the game. Does anybody else get this vibe?

Alright sure, I'll update with milestone releases. Also, save your game at the end of the demo, and future versions should be able to support the save files so you can continue with your current progress.
