  2. Here's a preview of the first dungeon, Moonlit Grotto. Name subject to change since a Zelda Gameboy game has the same name, which I may have overlooked when I was thinking of names. This dungeon will be a cave-dungeon hybrid, home to lizardfolk and some other critters and creatures.

  3. This is a demonstration of the proficiency tree that will be in the initial release of Elandor Chronicles. From level 2, and every 2 levels after, the player will receive one proficiency point to spend in the tree, unlocking new weapons, or armor types to use.

    Unlike most class-based MMORPGs, Elandor Chronicles allows you to completely create and customize your own character. You might choice to excel in great weapons and protective magic, or perhaps something more unheard of, such as a great shield wielding mage focusing in destructive magic and enchantments. It's completely your choice.

    For example, I may choose to select martial weapons at level 2, then spellcraft at level 4, enchantments at level 6, martial armor at level 8, heavy weapons at level 10, then great weapons at level 12\. This would give my character the proficiency to use powerful great weapons with magical enchantments, while a side arsenal of basic spells and also martial armor proficiency. A good start to my DPS magic beserker.

    And of course, as more content and features are added, you can expect the proficiency tree to grow with a ton of more options, from special schools of magic, to more legendary weapon types.

  4. Work has been progressing well on designing and developing different NPCs to inhabit the various regions in Elandor Chronicles. All creatures and critters in Elandor Chronicles will be unique original designs, making each a pleasure to discover. Unlike most MMOs, you won't be fighting rats, wolves, boars and bears all throughout your early-play levels. These creatures don't exist in Elandor.

    Each NPC will have their own habitat and temperament (some may be passive, others territorial or even hostile). Some may spawn only during certain time or weather, or even be a very rare encounter.

    Thanks mate! 95% of the tiles currently developed were by myself. The other 5% were by another artist I'm currently going to chuck more money at to help hurry development along.

    Yeah I still personally think the minimum is too small. Should be 1.5-2 imo

    Nah, tried to get you a screenshot but server is down. It was near the spawn point, climbed a ladder down, was moving across the map when suddenly fell through the floor and got stuck in it.couldnt move or do anything. When I relogged the screen flashed between where i got stuck, and the spawn point.

    As for the sound effect it would play on first jump, around the peak of my jump.
  6. The minimum jump height is not 3 tiles high. And secret area? I was completely stuck and unable to do anything, the camera was glitching out. Pretty sure that's not a secret area. And I didn't even know I could double jump, but the sound effect was playing on a single jump.
  7. Alright, heres an incoherent stream of thought as I test the client-

    * Can't see the sprite in character creation. Clicking change sprite does nothing.
    * What's with the class names? What is 'Ge' and what is 'So'?
    * Animations are incredibly slow. The main sprite looks like he slides, not walks.
    * What's the bashing sound when I jump in the air? Is it supposed to play when I land on the ground? If so it's out of sync.
    * The minimum jump height is way too short.
    * Your testing items I see haven't been finished.
    * Character sprite is bigger then the doors.
    * Character gets stuck on ladders. Can't jump off them unless I go completely down or up.
    * Fell through the floor and got stuck. Now my character disapeared and I can't do anything.
    * Relogging doesn't fix it. Screen flashes between where my character got stuck, and the spawn point.

  9. Thanks a lot! Spending a lot of my spare time on Elandor Chronicles at the moment, but I'll surely dive back into getting a new release done for Black Cat's Story again soon. It's my current schedule of work, I work on one game a lot, get progress done, then I break it up, and work on the next project for a bit. It's great for keeping motivation high, and keeps things interesting.

    While I'm sure it would work, I definately want to keep these tiles 100% original for Elandor Chronicles! I wish they'd make another Pokemon game in the essense and graphics of Fire-red again though. :(
