  2. Havn't been playing for long, almost a year now. I scored Dad's old camera, and considering that my microphone and mp4 player both broke.. I used the camera to record a few songs.   4. Thats right, I'm learning VB6, and I'm going to keep you up to date with all the crap I make. I only just got VB6 today, enterprise edition I believe it is. Feel free to tell me how crap I am. :D All projects are attached! >:( **4/12/07** -Aquired and Installed VB6!! -Downloaded Some EE source. Didn't have much clue what was going on there. -Made my first program in about 10 seconds! (Project: WOW) -Made a second project in about a few minutes! Actually used the net to find out some commands this time. (Project: Frags, and Frags2) **5/12/07** -Edited Frags, and messed with a few things. (Project: Frags3) -Made a new Frags project, and added lots more options, and things to do, including ability to equip the characters with weapons. Characters also have HP. Probably took me about 30 minutes. (Project: Frags IV) -Made another version of Frags, which took longer then the others, due to some difficultys which I worked my way through. I'm quite satisfied with my progress, and am happy to have made produced this considering my 3-4 hours of VB6 experience. Took me about an hour. (Project: Frags V) -Finalised Frags, with the final version, which I spent about 15 minutes on. This pretty much sums up my 4 hours of VB6 experience. (Project: Frags-Final) EDIT: Taking down these super shitty projects!

  6. Theres a sale at a local shop, and there is both a Nintendo DS and PSP bundle deal. I want one or the other, but am not sure which to get. First of all, here is the bundles: Nintendo DS Lite Console + Zelda Phantom's Hourglass = $238.00 AUD PSP Slim and Lite + Ape Escape: On the Loose + Dexter Platinum = $297.00 AUD Zelda, Phantoms Hourglass seems like a great game, but the 2 games included with the PSP look crap. But, my Ipod recently broke, so If I got a PSP I would be able to play music off it (after getting a Memory card for it). I don't know which to get… help me out here guys lol.

  9. Most gamers want to play it, and a lot of game developers want to make it… but as far as I'm concerned, I've never seen anyone successfully make a LoZ mmorpg. So for that reason, I announce that... **I'm going to make a freaking awesome LoZ Orpg!** I already have lots planned, and in the meantime I'm busy working on 100% custom Zelda-style Tiles. I'll post some previews in the near future, and when I get the time, also explain some of my ideas. But for now, I want to hear your opinions. * What do you want to see in a Zelda Orpg? * What ideas do you suggest? * Do you want a Zelda Orpg? Of cause, to make this even remotely possible, there will be loads of scripting, souce edits, and optimisation. This includes scripted items and puzzles. Here is a few of my ideas: Location: My plan is to first work on Hyrule (OoT), and then Termina (MM), and possibly even additions from the 2nd Hyrule (TP) including Faron and Ordon. The game will not be officially released until the completion of Hyrule. **Access to Termina via Hyrule?** In the beginning of MM, Link is in a dark forest, and travels through a cave after chasing the skull kid, which leads to the entrance of the clock tower. My thoughts were to have an entry in the Lost forest in hyrule which leads to this dark forest. **Access to Faron, Ordon etc via Hyrule?** Possibly a twilight portal somewhere, which leads to certain places from Twilight princess. Races: All playable races will be humanoids (hylian, kokiri, gerudo, human, etc). Although my original plans were to have gorons, zora and possibly even deku playable, after long thinking I realise it would not work out. But, it will be possible to transform into these races, by equipping masks from Termina. **Rare Items** **Master Sword** and **Majora's Mask** Should there only ever be one of each of these items EVER? **Triforce** Should there only be 3 of these EVER? (3 pieces that is) Will be updated when I feel like it. Very early mockups done with very few tiles (mostly ground tiles, no trees or anything done yet.) They are very rough, and make use of very few ground tiles I have worked on. The tiles used are not final, I am likely to make major adjustments on all of them before I ever use them in a game.

  14. I have lately been told of how snow and desert villages are usually harder to make due to lack of snow/desert RMXP tiles. Anyway, I spent a few minutes mapping up a small section of a snow village.   15. Kreator's Mapping Tutorial: Meadow I thought I'd take the time to make my first (of many more to come) mapping tutorials! This tutorial covers the basics in making a well made grassland or forest. It's nothing special, but it should help. 1\. Firstly lay down some grass, perferably the same style as the previous maps around it. IF you already have maps around it, make sure to block off all tiles on the edges of the maps where you won't be able to walk on the other map. For example, if there is a tree trunk on the edge of the map west, make sure you block off the edges of the map next to it so you won't be able to walk on it. ![](http://image.wetpaint.com/image/3/B4E4DLUuv9x7kedlz7aBcA29025) 2\. Now, make sure all trees join up onto this map. If there is half a tree on a map next to it, make the other half a tree here, so you have a realistic overall maps. Tree trunks should be mask 2, and the leaves fringe 1\. Now make some variation in the ground. Make some soil, using the ground layer. Add some minor detail using mask 1\. If there were any cliffs/changes in elevation on the previous maps that join up, continue on. Make the cliff wall random, and not too straight or sudden. At a stair case too if you want. Make them mask 1\. Add the tree tops, start by adding the tops of the trees on the lowest stumps, then work your way up. Use Fringe 1 for this. Some of the trees positioning may look irregular. Feel free to move them around, until your happy with them. Using mask 1 and 2, depending on where its needed, add some heavier vegetation. And some more detail, make your map look as awesome as you can. Try not to overcrowd too much though.   16. I bought the game of a friend, and he doesnt have a cd key. Therefore I cannot play. I tried getting some off the net, but none worked.   18. I've decided to finally come up with an organisation name for my… well organisation. I've thought about making it also reflect my username, like Demon X's does (Demonic Software). I was thinking maybe something like Kreative Softworks. I'm not sure though. What do you think? And do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

I was browsing the net for some free games to play, and I come across this free arcade game where you take the role of a stick figured ninja, and you race your way through stages trying not to die. To finish a stage, you have to open and reach the door at the end. But, there are robots, machine guns, turrets, etc which will try to kill you. Your able to make your own custom levels, and I was thinking that perhaps for something to do, we could post our levels here, so others can download them and attempt to beat them. I've uploaded the main executive file, as well as some read-mes and manuals. I've also included a quick level I made while testing the game. Its nothing much, but it should provide a challenge for you. Make sure all the files go into the same folder. Let me know if you beat my level :P You can also record game play videos and such, maybe you could post videos of yourself getting brutally humiliated, or finishing a really hard level. So anyway, give it a try, it might give you something to do once in a while. The graphics arent the best, but it has real smooth gameplay, and its not a bad game.   21. Which appropriate setting do you think would be best for a Post Apocalyptic online game?
  22. The game I've been working on since I have been using Eclipse (June 2007) is called Krusade Online. I was excited to have found this engine, and so I rushed into making the game. I didn't think out a story properly, I didn't plan maps, npcs etc or anything. I pretty much made up the game as I went. I've remade all my first maps, so that it was consistent with my newer maps (which were better quality then the old ones) And I've even updated gfx and tiles. Even the name of the game wasn't planned, I used it because I thought it sounded cool, and so, I had to adjust the game's storyline to that name. I think my game does look neat, and has a lot of awesome features and scripting by myself and Balliztik1; BUT, I personally am unhappy with the game, for the simple fact that I know I can do better. I'm sick of trying to patch up the game, although many people think what I have done with it is fine, I personally don't like certain aspects of my game including: Where the players start, and certain maps. I don't really want to remake the game nor continue on the way It has been. But then again, I don't want to abandon it and lose the last 3 monthes of work on it. Im thinking about ending the game early, finishing off the new region I've just started, and finishing of a few scripts and then releasing it. There will be about 200 maps, and a variety of items, spells, quests etc. I've been thinking of ideas for a new game, and I know for a fact that before ever making another game, I will plan it thoroughly. And it will be consistant, professional and feature-packed. So I ask of you all, what do you think I should do? :neutral:

  24. I thought of a simple idea for a side project for Krusade Online. Tell me what you think. ^-^ The game will have simular gameplay to Diablo I, in which you will ravage through dungeons downwards, each 5 floors being a new dungeon (stage). There will be occasional quests throughout the dungeons, and each stage will have a Boss, different monsters and shops. Unfortunately the game will have a limited story, and will involve quite a bit of hack and slash, teamwork and hopefully puzzles. There will be secret hidden areas, including dungeons and rooms. There will also be a variety of items dropped by monsters/bosses/chests that will not be available at shops. During each version update, a new stage will be added. The game will be officially released after stage 10 (dungeon 50) and alpha tested at about stage 2-5\. Each stage will be based on a new tileset. The game will have Arenas for PVP combat, as well as one town which will be located on the edge of the dungeon entrance. The main town will contain shops, All main quest protagonists, and health/mana recovery. The shops will contain common items used throughout the entire game. These items will include health and mana potions, common spells, and portal scrolls. (Hopefully I could get a portal system script simular to the one on Diablo) The Main protagonists in the town will be the quest givers which send you into the dungeon for whatever reason it will be (whether it would be to kill some demon, or to save someone or something). Things to do in the game would include: 1\. Hack and slash!! 2\. Quests 3\. PVP 4\. Socialise with other players 5\. Dunno, give me more suggestions! :P So anyway, tell me what you think. Provide feedback, critism, and suggestions! Oh, and don't steal my ideas :P
