If you become any sort of success and people have been stealing your work, all it is going to do is get you more attention. People in their small circles will be like "where did you get these!?" and their little ringleaders will be all "This guy that made [insert title here] created them and I liked them too!" or "I created them but this other guy stole them and made a better game than I did!"… whatever right? -

Yeah in CS:DE… sorry I didn't specify that.
I have been heavily modding the engine and so far no major issues.
GFX are working great, combat is completely based of AD&D's d20 system, etc.
Just want to make mapping a little easier. -
I thought I saw a tut on adding that red square into EO.
For those that don't know what I mean…
It is the red square indicator on the tile you selected.
I can't stand not knowing which tile I just picked, also want to add in multi-tile select. :) -
I do want to apologize for creating any rifts with Admiral's dad and the community but as Robin mentioned, we are "a community made up primarily of young teenagers" and they do not need to see that stuff. I honestly don't remember saying I would ban him, but probably meant that those actions repeated could lead to a ban?
excuses/explaining/ranting aside, If he wants to be here and will not post stuff like that then I would not oppose dropping the warning. Judging by age, I would believe the point has been made and the entire event can be put in our past. -

Yes and no, I believe it is because we changed the map size, so when we walk and then check the map size we have a conflict which is handled by simply closing the map editor.
Haven't fully researched it but I am sure it can be cured… but it isn't important. saving should be done constantly during edits and changing the map size is enough of a change to need it in my opinion... -
I think I have it.
If I change the map size then walk, map editor crashes and doesnt save the changes…
The game is still running and working fine so thats ok to live with for now. -
grrr. Not bashing Robin especially since I should know this stuff inside and out by now… but we really need an EO with only these small fixes inside.
His personal projects is way beyond the version he released publicly so I don't blame him for the little buggers we find here and there. -
yeah i know I can set the original size to crazy huge but I wanted to make towns(at least the small ones) a single outside map with indoors each their own small map. but making the large map is freaking out.

I always stick to bows as a main weapon but i thought I saw that there are lines in the game like "a [whatever level] blade skill will let you swing [whatever way] and cause [whatever effect]" Like dive backwards and power attack or something… idk just started playing again. -

Can you give an example of the fix?
I added "ReDim Autotile(0 To Map.MaxX, 0 To Map.MaxY)" but that failed epicly. :/ -

In the attacknpc and attackplayer(ok 1 line repeated) set player target type and target to the correct info. -

I would expect that you would want to conform to the usual WASD movement and mouse for targeting and activation like all other RPGs.
But anyways, in the handleattack sub you can check the spots in front of the players by checking the direction they are facing then checking for npcs in those spots going as far as the weapons range value. :) -
yeah that part… DX8 rendering isnt put in or something..
I know im right on this being explained before at least. :P -
I believe Robin has said that some work is to be done to finish the paperdoll system as it isnt done in DX8 yet.

yeah. I was wondering why no non-human mobs were spawning.. opened up that hole and figured it out… npc count was maxed with little wabbits! they took over everything... ended up wiping that world... was a new one anyways. no matter how many i killed or how far away i went(about 15km) they always remained.

Print it out(in this case all the source code with some screen shots).
Package it up nicely.
Send it to yourself certified mail.
It will be sealed by the post office and unless it's been opened in anyway, you can use it as proof.
That is unless someone managed to do it before you...
So don't be throwing your code around all whimsically like Robin!(jk)
