unfortunately I will at work during this magical time. all tho i did ask the owner if we could go home at that time. -
I was pretty good with the transport choppers in bf2\. I couldnt really use the apachee's tho. There is one map on bf2 that was a big dam, and it had a broken pipe that was segmented in parts. I could fly a chopper through there full speed and be a the enemy base in no time… but now i have win7 and they removed support for the game pad port, and now my joystick doesnt work anymore. I need to find a gamepad to usb converter.
Im playing single player Bf3 right now... i upgraded my video drivers, and i get video tearing on some maps. I'm going to have to try the older drivers and see if the tearing still happens. hopefully i'll get to play MP soon. -

Kusy, there is a hack to play online without origins… would that help with some of the issues you are experiencing?

I actually watched the video this time and it does look cool.
I know its fictional, but it looks like they did a good job modeling like Los Angeles. There's venice, hollywood, I believe the large windmill farm is the one up by where i live, skid row. The tall building in the center of the city is the us bank tower. it might be fun running around in my town.
I never played san andreas, but that was supposed to be based off my area too, but GTAV does look promising! -

Correct me if I'm wrong but you had a similar problem and had to have crzy remote in to fix your problem of not being able to connect to your own server.
Alpha make sure your client port matches your server port. Use localhost for your server's ip in your client. Try turning windows firewall off all together. -

I liked this game… it had a lot of neat features, but like anna said it did start to get repetive.

i was never able to connect externally from the same machine.

if you are running the client on the same computer as the server it has to be localhost.
try using a differnet computer or have someone outside connect and test your forwarding. -
