Bottom line; I'm making a Galaga Online game. I Know people in NAMCO that could make it legit if we made it nice. Using either customized source EE or Xworlds engine. If game is *SUCCESSFUL* i have a dedicated HOST in a NAMCO facility. I need 1 other team member that has the following abilities; -Familiar with EE Source code, has knowledge of XW. -VERY familiar with the workings/stats/engine of EE and XW -Familiar with beginners VB to edit code to spec's and change GUI and how interface works, including adding features, boxes, buttons, text. -High scripting knowledge -Ability to Create a website that interacts with a server for "Score" (or code the part into server if a 3rd person makes site) -Able to make GUI -Able to make Pixel type graphics > or = to my MS paint skills. (ORIGINAL GALAGA LOOKING GRAPHICS!) You don't have to be way skilled in this area. -Have spare time to make a game (I work full time and have a kid), i still find time. Sup people. ABOUT ME: I'm making a small OSRPG (Online space roleplaying game) Im 22, just doin it for shits and giggles. used to play with these programs when they where mirage. The reason for my idea comes from a job i had. I formally worked for NAMCO. I Grew up playing galaga and then started building galaga arcade machines as a job. I don't work there any more but when i did they had a employee contest to see who could come up with the best new "idea" or "game". and i should have thought of this then. COPYWRITES Galaga Online, Total copywrite enfringement. Not to fear, can use their name as long as it's free. If it where to ever not be free (Doubt it) I know who to call for permissions. WHY I NEED YOU I cant program, and as hard as i try i cant learn either. so i gatta find prebuilt engines and server/clients. So i started using XW not EE. Mabey not a good idea because its not open source and i cant edit anyting myself. but it has more built in features. I would rather use EE so i can customize EVERYTHING, but i need a programmer or scripter that can make EE have the options of XW plus an interface ect ect. So until i get sombody else on the team, i'm going to continue using XW to make graphics and test them. I'm doing all the graphics, Pixel style (paint). 32x32\. Yes, MsPaint. Galaga Look-alike. Attributes; HP, Energy(mana), Fuel(sp) Stats; STR(dmg), DEF(defence), TCH(magi), SPD Classes; Infiltrator, Assault, Technical, Heavy, Hybrid Enemies; Galagians, Mines, Astroids, Omega Squad, Planet/Moon Creatures, Space Creatures. Items; Launchers, Guns, Generators, Batteries, ForceShields, Fuel Tanks, "Packs"(Potions), Cloaking devices, radar devices, cloak+radar devices Modules(spells); Single Target EMP, Multi-Target EMP, Minor/Medium/Major Repair, Homing missiles, Espianoge Drones, Collect Fuel Modules. EXP SYSTEM: Instead of EXP, SCORE, which i want updated online to show high scores. You still gain levels when your score goes up, but levels make a minimal type of difference in game play. PVP BASED; Its not fun to play rinse wash repeat games, if i have to stand and click the same thing more than 50 times i'm not playing. Join the Space Federation, or the Free Republic. each with headquarter ships. Quest, Fight, Level with your kind, and then battle with the opposite. ZONES/MAPS: Space, filled with nasty thing. not as large as you would think, until you leave your galaxy. All "Alignments" have their own galaxy, where they can warp to other galaxys threw certain stars in the outskirts of their HQ. PS: i Don't care how old you are, as long as you can do what i need done. a little maturity in retrospect to a goal would be nice however.

Im sure its been answered before, used SEARCH. however i cant get a clear answer. What EXACTLY is the attack formula for eclipse 2.7 new release? what EXACTLY does each stat do besides it's scripting capabilities? Thanks in advanced guys.

Hey everyone i used to play with eclipse years ago. I'm ganna start again and make a basic multiplayer slash 'em game. Way back, i had a graphic of a human male and female as a base sprite. I found it on this forum, and i cant find it again. I redrew this sprite/art type as elf, and drow. Luckily i still have my custom versions of the sprite. Im lost without the human one… Can anybody recongnize this or know where the matching human is? [](http://imageshack.us)

if i plan on changing my stats (str def mag spd) to different names, what in detail does each stat do so that i can change them appropriately without having some weird stuff going on? because i know you cannot change how stat 1 2 3 4 effect the game only the name correct? Does spd still do…. *nothing*? lol thanks in advance

Hi everyone, havent been on the web for a year or so. Just checking in on old hobbies. I was going to start playing around with eclipse again, although im uncertain about which version to use. I'd like the most up to date (I don't mind bugs, if they can be fixed. As long as the features are good). I also would like to have matching source code for vb. EE Gamma is the latest version i assume, is the source that is posted in downloads for EE Gamma or Total eclipse? If i'm wanting to start a game, and want the latest version with source code, without having to start over after i've already started just to use a new/better version. which should i use? (Paperdoll and features are important) Thanks! If it makes sense, should. :)

Havent mapped since um Era online when i was a kid. here she is- just the southern and central most part of my starter city, tell me what you all think. Gatta practice more been long time =). Let me say i love 2nd mask / 2nd fringe, never worked with that before. I'm trying to use reshacker to change my icon i had a few questions beacuse im havin problems. Should i leave everything about the game named "Eclipse" before i run it? ei; the server, client, dats, infos etc. and i open the .exe of "eclipse" and then after "eclipse server" and i do what? change resources? i did that and when i hit save it just makes another .exe called "original_client" but no icons change…? And then i got the icon to change but the name wouldnt change to my name, it turned back to the E. but when i changed name back to eclipse it gave me my icon!!! what am i doing wrong? anyone take it step by step for me? :)

This is part of my tile-set as you can see my backround is a light blue- i can't get the dirt and sand part to fade right, i need the blue to make the fade but i don't know how =( its the wrong color. it's probably a very quick fix if you know what your doing. would anyone be willing to do this? Hello everyone first post on this forum for me, about time. Been watching and learning for a while. The first thing i did after learning the basics of the client/server and the features was look for some decent "matching" GFX with nice options- seems impossible. So i found a bunch scattered on this forum, and i like a few originals. I wanted to use them all in my game. I tried myself to change to the proper backround, and fit them all together/remove doubles, regroup scattered sets and use less tilesets, so that i could get everything i have to fit on 5 or 6 sets. I Failed miserably. The layers were all wrong, masks didnt work, things got "un-aligned". I knew that the first tile of the first set is your "clear" color, i did as i've read to do and still nothing. Just bad, threw them out. And it took me 2 days- my wife is mad :twisted: . Is there anyone here that has skills that would be willing to help? I searched alot on these forums and sites for a nice set of COMPLETE working tilesets and found nothing. I Can show you the File of bitmaps i am speaking of and mabey we can aquire more. It would benefit alot more people than just myself, I think it would be nice to have a nice public tileset floating around on the boards. Would save alot of people alot of stress.
