  1. We understand if you are not interested. We have a few servers that are looking into deploying this and we will see how they do. We spent 5 hours yesterday with a guy that hosted 5 different games for others and he was pretty excited about it.
  2. Most you know creating a game can be tough, but the harder issue is keeping your players updated with the latest images, music, and other small files it takes to make a game on here. Some of you create a new download every few days hoping that your users will download it, or be out of date with errors. My small team has been working on a solution to these issues. We are excited to announce Angmon Updater. Angmon Updater is a customizable updater for simple windows games, like those built on the Eclipse Engine. [Get Angmon Updater](http://angmon.com/updater/) We will be giving out 3 free copies. To get one of these copies tell us why your game needs this! ![](http://angmon.com/updater/assets/screenshot.png)
  3. The point about why we went .NET is because it is newer. I am not going to program something for a language written in 98 when there is something newer that has been optimized. I understand that it is still VB, but VB is a simple and easy language to work with and can do it's job. You keep going back to the shipping it with another library. The thing about the library is that it is the .NET 4 Framework. The user will most likely have the library installed via Windows Updater or another program they have installed already. The other thing about using the .NET framework is that even if the installer is needed there is a web installer which is less then 1mb and can only be flagged to see if you have it already and close or install via web connection. It also is signed by Microsoft meaning it will not flag the user that some random program is trying to access your system32.
  4. Hey it is good to see we are not getting beat on by everyone. We are working getting our first game working on the system. The cool thing about the game is that it is programmed in Java. We also have another guy making a game for us to test built with rpgmaker.

    Greyfox?

Does anyone have details of what ever happened to Greyfox? I seen Niko is still around and I PM'ed him. Also if anyone remembers Master5006 and would like to contact him again, I am still in contact with him.
  6. If people don't want my service to help them make a better more enjoyable game for their players then so be it.
  7. Hello fellow developers, I am looking for development teams to help my team beta test our new updater. It was built with eclipse games in mind. Our team decided to build our own updater and later to offer it online when our search for the right updater fell short. Here is our splash page for the updater. [Angmon Updater](http://angmon.com/updater/) On the page we are showing off a simple Team Fortress theme I made this morning. However it will work perfectly with eclipse. It runs like the other updater's around. The big difference is that it is written in VB.NET 2010 with the .NET 4 Framework. All updated windows computers should be able to run the updater without needing to register files or install files in the system32 folder. Here is some other features. * Large Web Screen (The entire upper half is a website) * Customize the theme to fit your game. * Dual updating bars to see small patch progress and overall progress. * Tool updater allows for updates to the updater! (If we release an update to the updater it is no headache) * Package your updates in .rar archives and upload them to your webserver. Planned features * Removing files system, delete old out of date files. * Repair system, the player can click repair and wipe out the game and install it without heading back to the site. If your interested in seeing how big the web area is on the updater here is the one from the image. [updater web area](http://jayden.angmon.com/updater/) As you can see on the main image the website and the updater images are seamless. You cannot tell where the website ends and the updater image starts. If you or your team is interested in helping us beta test the Angmon Updater email me at [email protected]!

    Back again

Well, I am back again, it has been a long time. I started here in like 2005 or 2006 when I was 18\. I met master5006 here. I think I went by malicnite, before the old forums got destroyed. Well, it is 2011 and I have tons more skill now and more resources. I sent robin some money to hopefully perk his interest in deploying that engine prototype build he is using for his game. I now have a few communities I run, but I won't put their names out yet. I have a feeling the new mods wont respect my veteran status. One of my communities is a flash game site where you can create your own levels and have others play them. So I decided that I want to make a community game where the community gets to help put together the game. Anyways I am glad to be back and to see marsh is still running this community.
  9. I am not sure how many of you all remember me, but I am in TE and EE history (thanks niko, made me cry XD) anyways *com is now supporting eclipse, The site might be based more on 3d mmo's but now we want eclipse in there as well! (grayfox and master5006's idea) XD Shylor
