The game is quite simple. You are a leader of a new country! You can name your country, specify how it's inhabitants looks (you don't nead to), describe all the things you want to describe about it. As for the rules - I guess that in this world there are the same creatures we have in ours so no new animals or something like that… people are people and elephants are elephants - no alienish stuff. Please no overpowered UBER lasers killing everybody and all dumb things (If something is realy dumb I'll tell you it was). For the rest - it's up to you. Your government, your religion, your arhitecture, and your faithful people that will follow you to war (or peace) you can create a Stem-Punk, Wild West, Gun-Medival or any kind of country you want! In your firs post just describe some things like the name of your country and stuff... dunno. Well see how it'll look like later.

It's a realy usefull tool - you can find realy stupid errors in the code. moast of the errors doesn't affect how the website is shown but google uses a validator realy similar to this one and it affect google positioning.

* * * Once again I started a new project dumping the previous one. This time I decided it's the last one - If I won't compleat this game I will stop developing anything close to MMO. I decidet to start this thread here in Design instead of WIP forums because I first want to discuss some ideas before starting development. * * * overview: Game name is Steel Islands. I'm not sure about the story yet but the game will mainly concentrate on PVP combat. Monsters are going to be more animalish than monsterish (with some exceptions of course). Main Idea of the game is world exploration and players competition. The new thing about the game are aircrafts. planed features: * use of airplanes and airplanes classes * large explorable area (both - on foot and in the air) * player classes giving profits combined with planes classes * new NPC interaction system * many short quests - items and skills * some "master quests" wich change the whole game environment * combo system in mele fights (not sure how to do it… but sounds nice) I would like to see what people think about those features (well… not about that small quests one because it's usual feature). I would realy apriciate feadback. Also with my sadscript knowedgle those features are quite imposible so I will post something in the Recruiting center when I will have enough work done to start thinking about scripts. Also I'll post some screens here soon.

Lot's of sites are made in flash now. In my onpinion they are cool. Still I know some people who say they like normal, old HTML stuff. And what you say? Oldschool or Flash?

Knights of the Old Republic MMORPG. They say it's under development. What do you think about that? I guess it sucks a big fat banana. I't will end like SW:Galaxies with ewerybody being Jedi/Sith and all that crap. The first KOTOR is my nr.1 game and I also like the second one and I would rather see a regular single player game with number 3 instead of some suckish MMORPG. It's like with Warcraft. I hate Blizzard for WoW cause it ruined the whole WC universe.

Well I was thinking about making a game with all the GFX made with plasticine. Draken was doing clay game I guess. Those pictures are horible - they were done with my cell phone because I'm off for 5 days and I was doing the pictures in a hury. Hope you like them. Please coment!   

Probably the dumbest idea in my lifetime but what would you say about a game not made on the base of Tarantino and Rodrigez movies (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Planet Terror, From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado) but inspired by them? That would mean: -Drugs -Gore -Zombies -Katanas -Gangsters -Gore -Katanas and eventualy some more gore. Guess it would be quite cool but It's hard to think about any storyline or features… What do you people think about this?

THERE ARE NO GOD DAMN MIRRORS! Hylians didn't invented such thing as mirror not counting the Twilight one! I wanted to draw Link so what did I do? Turned the Wii on and tryed to find a mirror so I can see "myself" in it - NO! I had to do some crazy camera tricks standing against the wall because there are no mirrors (at least I couldn't find them… can you find them?)

Well… the only thing I hawe right now is idea because I don't hawe scripting nor source editting abilities wich are certainly neaded to making a game like this. But here it is: Game would start in anicient timeline. There would be a big world with 2-3 continents, mountains, seas and stuff ewerybody would expect there to be. When player would log in for the first time he would be spawned randomly (dunno if that is posible) somewhere in the world. He statrts with one HERO unit and some realy easy to kill units. The thing with UNITS could be made like this: character is a army - not a single person. Army would hawe a fixed item that is the HERO and other equipment wich would actualy be part of the army (militia, legionists... samurais... stuff like that depending on the empire). Units - Items would add defence, attack and HP to the army and also ewery unit group would hawe a certain element (pikemans are strong against horseriders... things like that)... also dunno if ewerything in this system would work. There would be realy expensive units called obviously settlers wich would be able to build cities, vilages and fortifications - each player would start with one of them (they would stop existing after creating a city). Now something I'm realy not sure if it's posible - when a city is found there is a tile placed in the certain position (where the player's army is standing or next to it) with city gfx and (this is the most uncertain part) there is a new map generated - new map with a name wich the player type in. Those maps would be all the same (maybee 4 types of them depending on terain type) and only buildings would change and apear depending on technology and advance (a little bit like in heroes 3 I think). Hundrets of tehnologies and inventions improving units skills, hero's abilities, structure improvment. Players could conquer each other and NPC kingdoms, barbarians, natives. Building vilages, farms and mines on the maps near the capital to improve their civilization, tax income and things. There would be some improvments that would bring civilization to another level (anicient>feudal>medival>renaissance>...). When one empire reaches the new level it gets something about day or two of advantage, after that time the advancment spreeds on other countries on the same continent or around the whole world and new civs starts from that point of "evolution" (so the nwer players could still competete with older ones). As for the armies - after battles (no mather - PvP or MvP) army leader (the HERO) can advance and gain lvls like in normal game and is allowed to hire difrent troops. Tell me what you think about this idea and would someone like to create a game like that. I could map and make all the GFX for it but as I sayed - I can't mod the source and I can't script so a good moder and a good scripter would be neaded. That would also involve custom menus knowedgle.

I decided to create a political party named MBS (a shortcut from polish "Mroczne bractwo Sithów" wich means "Dark brotherhood of Sith")… because my country is a realy sad place I want to show some sense of humor (and maybee rule the galaxy). Name is a joke but I'm seriously interested in creating that thingy... actualy I wan't to ask - does somebody knows is "SITH" a trademark and can Lucas sue me for using that as a part of political party name? :tooth:

Well actualy what is afected by ewery single stat in Eclipse? I mean what does Str afect, what does Spead and stuff?

I telephoned to my gf and she told me she is going to her family tomorow and tomorow is the day we can see each other ewery week so I sayed NO! I WON'T GO WITH YA! and sayed that we can met the day after tomorow. And she started crying… and beging... and all that shit a gf does when they realy want something bad and after something about 1h of arguing agreed and now I will see those stupid, dumb and annoying people wich I REALY hate and I wanna spew ewery time I see them and like... ARGH! They live in some fucken forest and they are like... compleatly brainless... and they don't like me and make fun of me when I'm not there and she is not listening (once she was listening) so god! What the hell I'm doing...  Don't Be A Hoe!

Is there anyone in Eclipse comunity who does speedruns? (if somebody doesn't know what speedrun is - its beating the game in shorter posible time without saving and usualy on the highest dificult). Like there is a russian dude who beat Morrowind's main story in 7 minutes 30 seconds.
