  1. This is the "Eclipse" forum so we HAD to have a topic with when the next eclipse is gunna be right?

[YOU HEARD IT FROM ME FIRST xD!](http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2007/03aug_dreamyeclipse.htm)

Anyone get that email that said mars is going to be as big as the moon on the 27th? IT'S FAKE!
  2. I have been trying to figure it out now for over 3 hours and still nothing!

I'm trying to make a 32x32 template for the custom char(with head, legs, body)

I tried to do this so many times and I had no luck at all!

Does anyone have, or can make a 32x32 template for the head, body, and legs for the custom char??

If it helps… I'm trying to do it with charas' 32x32 sprites(with charas-project.net)
  3. I REALLY want to have where players can build their own char with the custom thing(head, leg, body(preferably just head and body though)) but the custom seems to only work for the 32x64 and I need 32x32… if I can  get it working for 32x32 then the player can end up with almost 100 diff combos(maybe more) to choose from for their custom char!

How can I get it to work with 32x32 for the custom system?!
  4. By PD I mean PaperDoll, and no this isn't a paperdoll-related question really…

What do you think? Of course a game would be more realistic with PD, but I have seen games without it, and these games aren’t too bad either... PD is NOT easy to setup and with it you will end up with less items, is it something you can go without or in these days is it a must have?
  5. I'm sure as ALL of you know, charas-project.net has that huge charas generator. With this, you can make charas…chars, and you don't have to worry about aliening them with PD because with this engine you can make PD sheets with the charas items at ease.

The drawbacks I see with these though are that they are too small and don't look too original, what do you guys think?

Is a game made with charas chars worth playing? Would you make a game with them?

    If not or so, why?
  6. Me and a friend are planning on creating a game, I have not downloaded Eclipse yet, because I am still waiting on a script request, and reading on how to use the newest version and all…

The game itself will be mostly black and white, and be made up with stick figures... bullets, blood, and other very small things will be in color, but everything else is black and white...

There will be 4 classes, the Mage, the Dueler, the marksmen, and the warrior(I think that's the classes)

The Mage will start off as a normal mage with his weapon being a magic wand, once the mage is a certain lvl(I forget which, I think it's like, lvl 10ish or somthing like that, not too high of a lvl) he can be promoted to a Battle Mage or Mystic Mage. The battle mage can use the low lvl magic wand, or the new weapon, the staff... he still can cast spells, not too strong ones, and he fights melee... the mystic mage fights with magic, and can learn more powerful spells.

The Dueler is sort of a warrior that can hold two weapons. Since he can't hold a shield, he has high def and attack, probably the most powerful of any of the classes...

The Marksmen can use ranged weapons, bows and arrows, guns, etc... Since they fight from a distance, their def is low...

The warrior, is able to use a shield and weapon, their defense isn't too high, but that's why they use the shield.

You will be able to do alot of stuff in-game, including creating weapons, mining, fishing, maybe cooking.... probably other stuff too....

    So, any opinions/suggestions?

PS: My spelling isn't the greatest, I'm disgraphic
  7. Okay, what's the deal with the house attribuite tile thing?

This is the only way I can make a house with inviting people:

I need to make a map for EVERYONE that wants a house, and make 2 keys for each house…then someone gives the key to their friend, that is the only way someone can go in someone elses house.....

Now what is the deal with the house attribuite tile? I know they buy the house with that tile and all, but how could they invite someone else in their house? I mean, what's the point of having a house unless other people can view it too...
  8. I have been working on the storyline for this game for awhile now, what does everyone think:

A long time ago, there were ppl living together, they weren’t that strong or that smart, but they managed to hunt for food and farm happily. One day, there was a huge earthquake and split their huge island in 2\. With their current technology, they didn't have any choice, but to accept that they are never going to see anyone on either side of the deep crack again.

As for the people on the one side, still attached with the kingdom, they continued to learn and grow plants, they began exploring the magical arts, began using it for defence….meanwhile on the other side, the ground there was too dead to grow anything, they began hunting for there food, which in-turn they started building up strength.

After about 300-400 years, the 2 kingdoms on each side of the cliff started wondering what happens to their long-lost ancestors, and each side began building half of the bridge. Another 15 years later, the bridge was almost complete, and both sides were able to see their counter-parts. They each gasped. On the one side, the side that was still attached to the kingdom, the people looked weak. They had huge robes on, and carried staffs and wands with them. The other side, with the hunters, they were 1/4 the size larger then the other, with huge mussels and weaponry.

As the garden side(the side still connected to the kingdom) and the rigged side(the other side) was finally connected by the bridge, they were finally able to meet. Soon after talking, they began to insult one another about their physical and mental strength, just then, someone from the ridged side threw a punch at one of the garden side people. 3 men from the garden side cast a magic attack like lightning killing the man from the ridged side...in that same day, a war has started.

It was 2 long years with the 2 sides fighting each other, the kings and the magistrates realized that hiding the problem will never work, the problem will need to be eliminated.

So now, there is still a war going on, when someone signs up, they will choose what side they will be on, and who they will serve. They can level up and join the invaders attacking the other side, or they can settle down, start a farm, or build a house, it's up to them. But in this game, you can even take over towns, say you are from the ridged side, you can round up some of your high-level friends, and storm into the garden side and take over a small town in the name of the ridged side(it will say that you now rule the town), and as long as you can keep that town, it's yours.

^So, what does everything think of this?^
  9. Ok, how can you make an item work for the male and not the female?
Like the male will have some armer, and the female will have the dress, but it's only one item.
like item #3, and for the male it will look like pants, but for the female it will look like a skirt. You know what I mean?
