Oh, that makes more sense now Anyway, we want to be able to read the .dat files so we can access our character information

I used to use eclipse and ALL of those files were .ini, I thought they were still supposed to be unless they changed the eclipse engine so that they're all .dat now.. If so, what's a program I can use to read the .dat files because notepad on my computer isn't reading them

Our account/character files are all in.dat format and they need to be in .ini format for our comps to read them for some reason. We just want to be able to look at the individual character information by going to the files.

How do I convert .dat files into .ini files? All of my maps and character files are in .dat format and my computer cannot read them, how to I transfer them to .ini format?
