  1. OK…....thanks for the feedback that I did get out of this bunch of posts... To the people calling me an idiot for VX vs XP, Winfield had the right idea. They are placeholders until I can get decent custom sprites up and running.
  2. I was working with a clean copy, thank you.
  3. Robin, I just downloaded the Service pack and ran it successfully, but I still get an error. I did all the steps involving the service pack. Do I restart after finishing with the service pack?
  4. Ok, so I open a CLEAN VERSION of Eclipse Origins and I try to compile it. The same code gives me an error. So A, IT WASN'T ME THANK YOU! B, the error is in modtext, the line "frmMain.txtChat.SelStart = Len(frmMain.txtChat.text)" it says method or data member not found.
  5. Not sure if this is the right area of this topic, but oh well. For a MMORPG, is RPG Maker VX or XP graphics better? XP seems to have more options, but VX is starting to appeal to me…..ARGH! I CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND! Help me  And if you say VX, please send me a link to a good generator for it :embarrassed:
  6. What part of this are you guys not getting? The error points me to a piece of code I didn't edit. I check the original EO source, and the code is the same as the one giving me an error. Please explain what I did.
  7. No no no…the code is the same as the backup. The code hasn't changed at ALL, and VB6 is giving me an error on it. I went and RE-DOWNLOADED Eclipse Origins, checked the code, and it was the same. So I didn't screw something up thank you.
  8. This has nothing to do with backups, this has to do with not being able to even MAKE a .exe to replace my client. And for the record, I DO have backups! I want to know how to fix an error in VB6 with a file I didn't even edit! No offense, but if you are going to simply insult me for no reason, you and your duck can go to some other thread.
  9. Ok…so I'm in VB6\. I'm installing a Sex requirement system to my items. I finish the stuff on the client side, press Make Eclipse Origins.exe, and it starts. Then, I get some error in the mod_text or something, WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN OPEN. I am really just...stuck. I can't so much as type 1 line of code, so I am NOT editing that...so what do I do? I really need your help
  10. I have tried…and what do I do with the .exe once it has been made? Replace me current .exe file?
  11. The .vbp of what? client.vbp? Server.vbp? My problem is, how to I compile ALL the files I have edited??
  12. I am in VB6, but there isn't a make Eclipse Origins.exe button! It offers making a .exe for the file I'm working on, but that 1 file isn't useful! I'm stuck ._.
  13. Hi…again. So this time...I'm using VB6\. I edit the code for the tutorial I'm doing (i've done 3 different ones) and hit save each time. I am NOT saving a project, I am saving the actual file. NONE of the changes will appear. NONE!! What am i doing wrong?
  14. Hai Pixelspore! My game is called "Force of Spira" I want the logo to mainly use black/red and if you could…give it a SLIGHT evil look to it! Thanks!
  15. Hi again…and I am wondering about equips. I know it is possible to assign paperdolls to equips, but that isn't my problem. For any of you who use RPGMaker XP characters, you would know that the male and female body shapes are different, resulting in clothes only fitting 1 of 2 genders. So my big question is, is there a way to make a item that uses a different paperdoll appearance for different genders? Another question I have is about customizing characters. Is it possible for instead of having 2 graphics per class, if you can choose your class, then design a character from either random clothing or admin-made character selections? I would prefer the user customizing a character, but if that can't be done, multiple pre-made options are ok... Thx in advance! And sorry about being so noob
  16. Uh…I installed the code in EO, and it looks correct, and I did what robin said...but my spells STILL DON'T WORK :l
  17. Hai everyone, noob game maker here. I need help. I am using the latest version of Eclipse Origins. So…I make a spell. I put in all the required stuff for it (icon, vital, MP, ect...) and then publish it. I move it onto F2 and select an enemy. I press F2\. Nothing. Not "your not in range". So I try again. Nothing. I move it onto F1\. Nothing. I edit my spell to be an exact replica of the Fire spell. Nothing. What do I do? I think this was a bug in Eclipse Evolution...but I didn't think that Origins would have the same problem. I really need help fixing this bug! Thanks ;3
