A rank generator would force you to think of the ranks first. The only other way you can 'generate' ranks is by making a randomized word selection which would end up with something like this: Gawrfas Hered Lwer :)

Hello all, i'm fairly new to the forum and i figured i would make a request of some of the talented artists on here. My name is Rasmus and i am from Denmark and i am a web programmer as well as a program programmer. I do mainly C# though i do the occasional vb and java. Anyhow my request would be for some evil sprites (Sprite-sheets if possible) such as: Devils Zombies Ground debris(Corpses, blood, pentagrams and so on). And basically anything you connect with the other worldly. I know i'm rather vague about this but i tend to like when i give the artists a big idea of what i would like and then have them surprise me with their amazing work. The reason i'm requesting this is due to me contemplating making a game set in a dark fantasy world, thus i need as many as possible of these "Dark Sprites". I cannot offer any money for the work but i can offer my services as a programmer. I program vb and c# and to some extent Java. I am a fully educated website developer (Vb & C#). I can make fully functional websites with databases as well (Mysql). So any way you wish to go website wise i can have you covered. Of-cause if you want a program instead i can also do that. Depending on how big a program you want. Hopefully someone finds this thread interesting enough to want to do this as i believe the sprites the artist makes would benefit the community as a whole as well. ~Etarnalazure

Honestly, you learn a lot when you are in it you self. Before i became a website programmer i thought making an site was easy and everyone could do it (Well they can with stuff like WordPress but its no where near the quality of a homemade one). Was the same deal with when i started programming games. I thought it was easy. You gain a certain appreciation. And that's why i think its better telling people WHY they made a mistake when they take other peoples work for granted, instead of just saying "You suck leave!". I've seen similar posts from some of the people on here, a person made some fairly bland pixel art and people started flaming him for it instead of helping that person along with what his mistakes where. But all in all i like the overall mood of this forum. A rather fine collection of people.

Hello everyone, I've been downloading quite a few of the free to use sprites on here and felt I've given nothing back… So when i came across this i had to share. It might have been posted before but I've found no threads with it so here goes: Its fairly easy to use and it costs nothing. Still, its rather uncommon finding a gem of a site like this. Its rather hard finding proper graphics for games. And then when you come past something like this, you gotta do what you can to keep it afloat so that i may spread and continue to support indie developers like us.

I've only taken artwork from posts in Resources. Though i suppose that as a thanks i could put my abilities as a programmer out there if someone needs help. That way i don't feel like i'm just taking.

I have tried to Google for it, but almost all of the sprites out there are either rip offs of stuff like mega man or single sprites instead of sprite-sheets ^^

Hello everyone, i cannot say i'm new to the forum but i can say that i'm newly registered! I got a small question for the lot of you. After seen some of the amazing artwork on here i decided to download it and use it in a game i am currently working on. The game is going to be used for an exam me and my group have in a few weeks, so it will not be publicly available, though it will not be sold i feel i will have to ask either way. Is it okay to use the resources on this site for our game? None of us are even close to artists, we are all old website/program developers who program in vb.net, c#, java, php and so on, so we are severely lacking the powers to create anything good looking for our game. If it is not okay we will of cause go back to using stick-men and green dots as our graphics. ~Etarnalazure out
