  1. Been waiting for GW2 ever since it was first announced a good 5ish years ago…It pretty much beats all game expectations as far as I'm concerned!

  3. Ok this is a stupid question to ask…But when I do this all my buttons (i.e inventory, trade, party) and what not are all behind it and when I choose "bring to front" their still behind it.

    It looks like the exit of the forest and the entrance of the town? Maybe try and use several types of tree instead of just the one?

  10. Ah ok thanks guys I can now get into my client again…But then discovered the "convo" button in the admin panel does nothing when you click it....I think I missed some code somewhere... Ok I was just playing around and found out when you create a new NPC you get RTE 9 again...I'm thinking of starting with a fresh copy of EO again and following every step of the guide including the apparent "optional" step as I've been left with a Convo admin panel button that does nothing and an NPC list that doesn't want to create.

  13. Uhm…Where is debug :\ Client side = ModGeneral Ln13 Col1 Server side = ModGeneral Ln6 Col1 edit = ok when I press "step into" it just moves to another line so i think i might have pressed the wrong button...
  14. I haven't done anything in the "optional step" part as I assumed it was optional. Right I added that and it let me compile it…I then loaded the server and opened the client and got RTE 9?
  15. And Jaxx their problem sounds different to mine but thank you though :) Ok Soul you were right I completely missed off the last step of the tutorial instead! But now when I compile it I get a new error (see new picture)

    You can't get VB6 directly from microsoft anyway. And due to rules and the law we can't tell you exactly where to get it.
  18. Yep I started by doing everything in the client side and then compiled it and then did everything in the server side and compiled it and thats when the error came up. I think I mentioned somewhere the client side compiled fine :)
  19. I did post on there but after many hours of nothing I figured I'd try asking this question in the actual question forum. I've followed to tutorial step by step twice on two seperate fresh versions of the Alatar's Quest system download and both times I've got the same error right literally at the last step…The Client compiled fine without a problem but when I got to the Server and tried to compile that after doing what was said this error comes up (see picture) I'm sure it's something stupidly simple but for the life of me I can't work it out. Unfortunatly this is the first of a few features I want to add before actually starting to build my game...I want to make sure their all up and running properly first...And as I'm still new to VB6 (started when I first joined EO) I still need pointing in the right direction. Thanks in advanced again folks.

  21. I meant on my other game I'm working on I couldn't get the convo addon to work it keeps having a conflict with some of the code when I compile it. Your engine runs fine :)
  22. Ah now you've explained that it's pretty good, I might have a play around with it. It's got the two features I was trying to add but for some reason couldn't get the convo box to work. Edit: I really don't like that chat box idea, I think you should have left the original one but still had the tick boxes for the alternative chat channel.
  23. Looks like a good project you got going there. 2 things though guys. 1) How do you get into the quest editor, you never made a button for it. 2) I'm not keen on the chat window it fills up a large portion or the playable area.

    You don't NEED to convert to CS:DE is you dont want to. CS:DE is the developers version of the engine currently being used to develope the CS game.
  25. Once you add the convo feature (which I seem to have royally messed up in my own one some how!) this could very well be the engine for me! It looks awesome right now! Any idea when V1 will be out?
