  1. Today I managed to correctly import a rigged character thanks to Sebastian Lague great You Tube tutorial. I have not added the walk cycles yet but I will soon. I also added mist and imported the old Ambardia alcove model. I also modeled a very crude tree from scratch. I will do better ones at a later time.
  2. Hey everyone. *Big wave to the vets out there*

       Thought I would just show some of what I have been working on lately.

    This is the infancy of a new 3D Ambardia. Everything you see is pretty much just place holders to be replaced with my custom models and graphics later.

    I finally put my head down and learned how to low poly model, texture and shade correctly.

    Here are some screens of my own custom 3d engine.

    You can start or exit for now. There is background music.

    The character is just a cube for now with forward, backward, left rotation and right rotation and jump.

    The mainland is a basic mesh with one portal to throne room.

    That is all for now as I work on the core in Python.
  3. Ambardia is alive and well. We have added over the heads of quest givers the quest name they give. Green is not started, yellow is in progress and red is done. There is also a nice quest line now on the start island to help you feel more into the game.

    As for bag space, we learned a long time ago that not all resources can be stacked. It makes things to easy. We still have a lot of balancing to do however in this regard.

    Smithing is harder to do than mining. I do see a need however to bring the balance between items in closer. Iron is taking to long to level.

    Finding xp potions is a big hit. I'm planning to expand this more with the professions.

    If you don't want to wear a helmet just take it off. There should be no clipping problems with them. Female hair is long so it will flow out from the back a bit. Also, there are different types of helmets other than the first 3 types that look totally different.

    Ambardia is not an easy game. It currently is more grind than play but we are starting to work on more game flow and story-line quests. After about level 18 things start to flow better as well.

    Once all of our current features and content are perfected we will then start to open up the world a bit more.

    You have to talk to Edward Songsteel in the Royal Court (the building in the center of Castle Amber) and start the Beheading In The Sewer quest.

    Then go to the small tower next to the Royal Court and enter the sewer. Find the Lizard Beast boss. Kill it and return the head to Edward for the Amber key.
