  1. Fixed it. I found a utility online called DriveLetterView, using this I discovered that the drive was 'being used' by a Verbatim USB (note I had nothing plugged into any of my USB ports), somehow this was 'confusing' the setup. Works fine now after getting rid of the ghost USB.
  2. > That is something i never heard of…have you tried rebooting to see if that makes the drive go away? > > I am blind on this problem so im not much help sorry >.< I have tried that a few times, even after cleaning the registry, et cetera. Still didn't work. Thanks anyway though
  3. I apologise for double posting and I usually try to refrain from doing this but I'm all out of ideas here. The install wont stop trying to install it to this drive that isn't there and I've tried everything I can think of plus everything I've found from Google. I'd really appreciate some help here.
  4. Just an update on what I've been trying. I attempted to go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\Computer Management\Disk Management and I couldn't find the drive there which makes this whole thing even more confusing. Most results I find from searching just tell me to get rid of the drive, which is difficult when it doesn't exist even as a ghost drive.. No suggestions anyone? I'm pretty lost :/
  5. > I'd assume that it could be that you're using an ISO and Daemon Tools which adds extra ports. > > If not, I'm confused on how the K drive is even there. Not using Daemon tools or any other CD drive emulator for that matter. I've seen this K drive pop up from time to time before and I'm really not sure how it got there, it's possible it's a portable device drive but I'm really not sure how to find out.
  6. ~~Hey there, Firstly, I'm not sure if this question should go in the 'Source' sub-board so I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong location. Okay, so I've been trying to install Visual Basic 6 Enterprise Edition on a computer of mine that I've never installed it on before. However, for some odd reason the setup tries to extract the setup files to a drive that I'm not even sure exists on my laptop (K:\). I'm able to change the destination for some parts of the setup but other parts wont let me and in the end the setup always fails. So, if anyone has any advice as to how I can get the setup to stop trying to use a drive I don't have I'd appreciate that very much Regards, Crona.~~ Fixed it.
