what yall think?

What’s good yall, my friends call me Scifer. Sci for short. I have been in and out of the forum checking it out every now and then, so I made an account. A lil about me, I am a father of 5 kids, who thankfully have been really good, well for the most part that is, lol I have been programming in VB for about 10 years, C++ for about 5 years now. I have many talents that I’d like to shear with the community. I am A+, Network +, CEH, MCSE and CCNA certified. As you can tell I don’t duck around, lol I draw free hand or off a pic, I can do 3D models out of Maya and/or ZBrush, and mechanics on my spear time. So most likely you will find me under a car, inside of a computer or server, or with my kids. I am for hire, so tell me what your needs are, and if it’s easy enough ill help you for free but if it’s something that’s going to take me time, I am going to have to charge you for my service. Na not lame, to be frank, I like 2D, and I dont want to go full blown 3D, there is a lot of people that say Vb is deing if not dead already. but I love that we can make just about anything we need in a very small amount of time. i make a small database program for a customer in VB6, so yeah,, back to the story at hand.

I can most dif put some time in it, but this is not a one person job, there is coding, graphics and GUI’s at play too, I can make something but it will not be MMO that’s for sure, I can most dif get graphics and coding in, but I just don’t know where to start, that’s why I am asking in the forum, because someone prob already tried what I am talking about. I highly understand that the code needs to be edited but what do you think of the idea of space exploration, trading, and guild war for control of a planet’s

I have looked at some website of making RPG's all being in the dark age and what not but has anyone done anything else with the engine? Why not make the engine to a point where there can be space explorations, where guilds have to fight to keep the guild planet(s) Having the game still in the same 2D format or maybe even 2.5D but have gravity for the maps that’s in space and normal movement for when you and land or sea. What do all of you think?
