Here is what you do. once you have the game up hit "Insert" On your keyboard to bring up the Admin Panel then click on the button that says "NPC" From there you can make npcs for your game. Once you have created your npc you open up the "Map editor" and add them to your game from there. You should really play around with the engine before assuming everything is not there.

Well open up Client.vbp or Server.vbp to edit the code then follow the tutorial. It will tell you where everything is. You can also use ctrl+F if you're on windows or command+F for Mac to search things.

Do you have a copy of VB6? Make sure you're in the right thing like if it says to be in the Client.vbp or Server.vpb.

You will need a copy of VB6 and to edit the source you will open up the Client.vbp or Server.vbp. Hopes this helps

You don't go into the data folder to edit the game. Besides Eclipse Origins 4.0 is not open source.

Can you upload a screen showing the .dat file? They shouldn't be .dat files since it's coded in VB6

I'm wanting to learn how to code my own custome engine but I have no idea where to start or what to do. I have read peoples tutorials and stuff on here but I still don't get what things mean as they don't really explain them in a way I can understand them. If someone can either point me in the right direction or teach me how to code that would be great. I hope someone is willing to do this for me.
