first off i write all my own code, nothing has been stolen from anyone, many of my clients can vouch for my creations.

your saying i stole an engine when i am the one who wrote it and own it, the assumption that something is stolen is incorrect, i work on multiple projects with multiple developers so whoever you are, get your facts straight.
  2. > No offence to xXaden, but you must not know many programmers.

many of my clients have tried other programmers on this forum as well as other forums and were dissatisfied and have been repeat customers ever since.

    no offense taken ;)
  3. sorry you feel that way, these are in depth systems and most of them unavailable anywhere else (not just basic features).

my features range from $5 and above and are more than fair for the time involved. every source is different, so some projects

may require conversion or modifications to make the systems work.

    take care !
  4. no offense taken, generally when the customer purchases multiple slots i am flexible with the price down to that amount, ill keep your suggestion in mind though as an everyday low price :)

thanks for the kind words and i wish you the best of luck as well :)
  5. no because of the time involved, and the more somebody wants done on there project (Multiple features or Slots) the more discounts i can give.

that price covers making the item type, creating the extra equipment slot server side and client side, positioning the slot client side, programming the editor and updating all packets and even making it work with paperdoll.

    thanks !
  6. > Note: Don't use this to enforce a ban. The client can spoof this info.

the client would have to match it packet for packet (and they would need the source code and what packets to attack) and that means somebodies hardware would have to be compromised because its impossible to obtain that information especially when its sent with encryption on creating the character and logging in. how would the hacker get the machine id, hdd serial and everything in one swoop and on top of that dont you think the server would be coded to check and reference the original signup information ? when coded properly it would be accessing windows apis and sending the information encrypted and without source code thats nearly impossible to guess all the right numbers to be granted access. we are talking about account security here right ? lol..
  7. all of the ideas previously mentioned are excellent.

if your wanting to take security a step forward you need to collect a little more information about the machines in use,

    Motherboard Mac Address

    Hard Drive Serial Number

    IP Address

Between those 3 pieces of information (be sure to declare in your eula) you can enforce a ban even if they attempt to get around it.

we all know ip addresses change, but other information does not unless its a different machine.

Most big time games allow 3 computers to be bonded to an account.

programming it so if its an unidentified machine trying to change account settings or even logging in, then it has to enter in a verification code

thats sent via email to account holder to prevent fraud.
  8. i think what really kills communities is the lack of a complete product, how many engines have been released with simple plain

features which are typically the same over and over just re-released by different companies and developers.

it has to really stand out to keep people motivated and there attention at 100 percent.

i dont think this community is dying, in my opinion its the best it has been in a long time, everybody is friendly, moderators are great and the people

who caused the drama before are absent (won't name any names to avoid a war :P). (if you were around back in the day when there was multiple communities it was very different).

and i might add, its hard working with other coders just like being in a band, everybody must mesh together and understand limits and boundaries and

at the same respect each others prospective code. there is very few who i trust to code with or alter my code in between me working on it and that has been Devogen and MutantX. My advice to everyone, find who you are comfortable with if your wanting a coding partner, use drop box so everybody is updated in real time and realize just like band members come and go, eventually the right one will stay, its all got to click to be perfect.
