  1. Well, the issue has been found, but it can't be resolved.
  2. Well… it doesn't work.
  3. This sounds good. I'll try it.
  4. Okay, good, because I have the port set to 7000. Also, I just switched it to static, and my tester's still getting the same error.
  5. Also, I have a Dynamic IP. HOWEVER, it's been set at the same IP address for as long as I can remember. Does that matter, or do I have to change it to static?
  6. Wait a second… The default port with Eclipse is 7001. Do I have to keep it at 7001?
  7. Okay, I figured out the error with your link. I tried it, and it said that the port couldn't be seen because the connection was refused.
  8. By empty, I mean 'unowned'.
  9. It gives me an empty domain filled with ads.
  10. I've cross checked the ports of the server, client, and firewall with the ports that are being forwarded, as well as crosschecking the IP of the server/machine and the client, and everything matches up.
  11. I'm using an Arris router. In order to portforward, I had to user the "Virtual Server" option under the "Firewall" tab in the router's configuration. I've also added the exceptions to the firewall on the server machine. It's odd, because I'm able to host other games, like Minecraft or Terraria.
  12. Yeah, I have a router and XP.
  13. Honestly, I'd prefer to run the server from one of my own machines instead of finding a server host. Is that even an option?
  14. I've been working on an MMO for a while now, and it's almost ready to be launched into Closed Beta. However, I've run into a major problem. SHORT: I can't portforward. LONG: I've logged into the router and have portforwarded the proper port and I.P. of the computer on my network that'll be hosting the server. I've recently found someone to test if the server works by launching the game and attempting to connect to it, but nothing happens. He keeps getting an error saying that the server is down. The machine that the server is on is the one that's more "directly" connected to the router, per se. It's also an amazing computer than can handle almost anything thrown it's way. I have no problem with connections or connection speed, the router is always on, and so is the server computer. I've tried everything I can think of and have followed as many tutorials as I could find on here, but to no avail. Any help?
