So when you try to install runtimes you get that error? Which is why you cannot open Eclipse? I do not know that error, google search did not help either, unfortunately. Perhaps someone else knows? Could try to find another download for the runtime installer

Other versions of EO - Needs work. You need to program the features you want (Mostly), fix the bugs, etc. However, you can do whatever you want because you have the source code. If you can program or can pay a programmer, use one of these. (I believe EO 2 is the favorite) EO 4 - Stable, Optimized, No bugs (That I know of), All the features you need to make a decent game. If you cannot program or have no money to get a programmer, use this version of Eclipse. It'll provide everything to you that you need to make a game without any programming knowledge. Is it worth it? If you are making a small game for friends, do not buy it. Silver should provide you all you need for a hobby project. If you are actually trying to make something good that you want to get a small player base for, then yes, buy it Hope this insight helped you, and anyone else that stumbles to this thread

They are working on EO 5\. EO 4 may still get updates, but once EO 5 is out, EO 4 will likely become another version of the past

Which version of EO are you using? Also, did you try to install the EO runtime files? EO will not work without them. I believe they are found in the folder when you download the engine

My advice to you would be to make a brand new folder on your desktop, download eclipse v4 again and put it in this folder. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING! Open the server, let it load completely, then open the client and try to log on. If this works, you know the files you are working with are configured improperly

You need to log into the game client side as an admin, press the [Insert] key to bring up your admin panel. You go into the map editor, put some tiles down and make your map, then you need to hit the send button. Once that is done your map will update and bam! Make sure you are both on the same map of course

If you want people to actually help you, for free of all things, you are going to need to show them alot of progress and something that looks and seems promising.
