How would I make a sprite not change if I changed it's class using a code in game and having the exact same sprite. I need to now because there is character creation.
-
the only problem I am getting is crshing with vb6 with this but thats all.
-
cool, I really like what you did there. But I think you should make the ship a bit less bold.
-
@Rory: > ): Poor Rory
-
there pretty good but you stoped working on them?
-
cool is the a jumping system or??
-
Cowin if you want to be a programer you should try to figure it out yourself ;), but if you can't get someone to do it :p

@Lightning: > Instead of saving the sprite number in the player UDT, switch it out for Head, Legs, Body etc. > For client-side, when a new character is being created, blt the head, legs, body etc. instead of a whole sprite. Do the same for in-game blitting. I think he's asking how you would do that.

@blkcrow: > i think samuMods have something like this. you can download it from here [http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,67928.msg748763.html#msg748763](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,67928.msg748763.html#msg748763) yeah but it's not even close to finish and will probably never be. it has to many glitches to do anything with it

@Robin: > You get used to it. People steal your stuff regardless of how much weight you can put behind your threats. There's simply nothing you can do. > > Just keep in mind that if someone is so shit at making video games that they need to go behind your back and try and use your stuff then the game they make will be terrible. > > Or just take down the servers of anyone who steals your stuff. ;] lol thanks robin
-
I just want my sprites so that they cant be stolen if they can I can actually have a threat. I don't like people using my sprites that I work my but off for my game, then people just take em…

@Fabio: > you hire someone to make you sprites and tilesets and create a contract. that contract becomes the basis for the license Well I am the spriter, so how do I get license for my work?
-
@Apple: > +1 to Fabio > Although if you need to credit a company like Enterbrain,just credit them like Robin did with Crystalshire. Well everything is 100% custom made
-
If you want to make a title, use photoshop or Paint or something creative. If you want an auto tile, we'll wait till the next EO comes out ;). But if you want it now I suggest learning alot about vb6

@HARMON8ER: > 8255 Is a big number!! =D 8256 is even bigger

@Robin: > ![](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e112/Kite_Minase/Reaction/1280643348696.gif) Yeah pretty much agree to you there. He didn't do a ducking thing. Why should we give sympathy to him at all. Make it first then post.

@Chief: > lol, youre an idiot. You work low poly until the whole model is complete, then generally go up a level, detail, up a level, detail, etc. Dude relax I was kidding

This is what I am doing with classes. First I made it so you can just edit your character skin color. Then you start off as that. Then you can change your class to whatever you want after you choose a place that you start off to first. Like what ever your village you pick is your class. Then you level up in class levels.

Where could I get licenses for my sprites, tilesets and my game (but has credit) for my game?
-
@Dax: > Well designed. Plus its original. Thats what I look for here orinality Thanks dax always like nice comments. We are making alot more progression and are making more of the gui and sprites right now and tilesets. Then we are going to make the story and maps.

@Robin: > Shopkeeper? Sometimes, depending on the game it won't work. Like npc's have different colors of what they are. So that doesn't always work robin.
