Can you see the NPC's name and not the sprite, or just nothing at all?

Ok, so I'm learning the ways of Origins, but I have a question about resources and one about shops. Sorry for being a noob. 1\. I made a tree resource, a log Item, and an axe equippable item. Whenever I try to use the axe to cut down the tree, I keep missing every swing. What am I doing wrong? 2\. I made a shop with /editshop and an NPC set to shopkeeper. How do I make it so when I talk to that NPC, the shop will open? Thanks in advance. :P

So I decided to replace the graphics of characters in my game with the ones of a type of "pack." However, the character's layout looks like this:  Instead of Like This:  And in-game the graphics appear glitched. Is there a way to go make it so I: 1\. Don't have glitched graphics (without going and editing 300+ files to make them look like example 2) 2\. Am able to use graphics like example 1 in the future? Thanks in advance P.S: I do not own VB6, nor do I want to buy or pirate it

So, I'm kinda new to this engine, adn I was having trouble with my first npc. (Sorry for being a noob) When I went to /editnpc and typed something in the say box, the NPC didn't say it. I clicked on him and pressed nearly every button. Is there something I'm missing. Thanks in advance. :P
