hm… im looking at your first image... under protocal it looks like there is a drop down menu... under it it should say tcp, udp, and both. If there is a both, select it. For external do 7001 7001 and for internal port do 7001\. I think that might work....

Ok for my router this is what it was supposed to look like: http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/1452/portdi.jpg You said you can access the router, right? If you can then look at the image and copy the TCP as 7001 and the UDP as 7001\. For name but anything you want. For IP address put your computers internal ip. To find it go to command prompt, type in ipconfig, and copy the IPv4 address. Now save the setting on your router and reboot it. If you can't access the router the find the default gateway thats in the ipconfig and copy that into your browsers address bar. I hope this helps! Sincerly, A fellow n00b ;P

This is all for EO 1) I've created 5 classes but I only want one to be available at the character creation screen. How do I do this? I've tried putting Locked=1 in the classes but you can still select it. How do I do I lock it? Also, how do I pick what map and coordinates I want each class to spawn? 2) How can I make it so that in order to cast a spell your character needs to have an item equipped? Every spell in the game will need this item to be able to work. Thanks! -Drakiac

Sorry for creating all these posts in this forum but I have a lot of questions… My problem is that my server says its ip is 192.168.0.1 (my internal one) while in Robin's tutorial he said you put your external ip in the client config file. Mine was 24.30.140.___ and when i put it in the config and tried connect it, it didn't let me. How could make it connect? I know I can put in localhost or my internal ip but I want other people (on other computers) to be able to connect... I have tried to port forward. Here is my effort:  Could you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks -Drakiac

I already installed the library files. I went to config in the client folder and set debug to 1 and now it lets me boot up the client. Thanks to all the help guys!

I've tried both of them and I keep on getting this message:  :( I wonder if it is a problem with my computer itself… Some more info is that EE works perfect on my computer. -Drakiac

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 84x and I have installed the library files. The server boots up fine, yet when I run the client I receive the this error right after it says loading interface: Run-time error '-2005401480 (88780078)': Automation error It then quickly flashes Initializing Directx before shutting down. I have tried installing the library files using admin, no UAC, and compatibility with windows xp (service pack 3) yet it still won't work. How can I fix this? IS it a problem with the library files (even though server works) or is it a problem with the client itself? Thanks -Drakiac Edit: Here is an image:

Um.. It's a mmorpg… I would like to host it somewhere so I don't have to keep my computer on 24/7\. When someone downloads the client (from my website) it will connect to the place hosting my server. The question I have is where are some good placed to host the server???
