    Spells

    I wish EO had a wider range of spell type selection Could someone make a tutorial on how to make a spell that looks like this O> = character facing right X = Projectile O>XXX Anyone in range of those X's get damaged for 15 damage. Even if no one was standing in that range, the projectiles would still show up
  2. If it's range 1 then i dont have to face the opponent to hit him. I can't do this in the spell editor, thats why im posting this in the "source" topic. Could someone familiar with sourcing help me, please?
  3. No, i've already set an animation for all the weapons, i'd like a SPELL that has increased damage and acts like a normal attack, but with different sound and animation.
  4. Wouldn't that make me have to target my opponent first and then activate the spell? Was my explanation bad..? still need help.. I just need the spell to be like a normal attack, except with an animation, sound and extra damage.
  5. I'd like to create a spell where whenever warriors use it they will hit an extra hard hit on the opponent without having to target it first. (You will have to stand in front of it and face in its direction.) If you manage to hit your opponent an animation will show up and a sound will be played. How can i do this? I'm new to sourcing and i dont really know how to make custom spells, could someone send me a tutorial or something? Thanks. :)

  9. I am used to spriting in ES and ES uses 32x64 sprites.. the EO sprites are not 32x64 and my sprites i have made are 32x64… how do i sprite in EO? could someone help me out?

  11. Could you like.. post tutorials on how to source these features? And yes, i mean aoe without target. Would someone please post some tutorials? ,_, i mean i dont want to have shop tiles so that whenever you go near an npc, a shop opens up.

  13. ENGINE: Project Vertigo Origins Okay, I was hooked on stable and now I find trouble using Origins. You know.. I am used to Sadscript and not used to source editing. I have VB 6, so I am able to edit the source, which is good because Origins require VB6 in order to make a good game. So I am working on this game "Stick Legion Online" and I have some questions regarding the EO engine. I'll number them up. 1\. How do I make conversations with NPCS in a GUI? Like a window where you press next, next, next. 2\. How do I make a tile so when you press CTRL, a shop opens up. 3\. How do I make guns/bows? Can I add sounds when I shoot? 4\. How do I make custom spells, like an AoE spell that I get to decide where people get damaged? 5\. How do I make an NPC that teleports you to a specified location? I am very well aware that all of these/most of these require sourcing, I am prepared for that as I have my VB6 opened right now :-D When you reply to a question you know how to answer, please put the number of the question before you answer it :-) Thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks and a million more thanks EDIT: Oh, instead of replying you could just create a tutorial for everyone to view then send me a link through a message.   16. No! im not talking about removing an attribute, im talking about removing the "Blocked" type tile….. not attributes or layers........
  17. ENGINE: Project Vertigo Origins I've clicked around with the blocked feature in the map editor, it only gives me a message that looks like: (X: 7) or something.. I clicked around everywhere and now I cant go past those spots….. places are blocked and I cant see any marks that indicate that those places are blocked....... you cant see like you can with the Blocked attribute. how do I delete them, I dont want to remove the map I have made......

  19. ENGINE: Project Vertigo Origins Whenever I am on the lowest place possible on the screen (standing on highest Y point), I cant seem to jump. And is there a way to like.. teleport around, like you could do in stable by SHIFT + Left clicking somewhere? or some kind of free view to edit your map? EDIT: Bump
  20. Engine: Project Vertigo Origins I am very confused with the paperdoll system in origins since im used to the Stable one. My sprites are 43x64, I went to the paperdolled axe that comes with the engine and I noticed its 64x64, How do I make paperdolled items? I am so confused, I dont know how to explain what happens when I use the 32x64 paperdoll item, it kind of only scrolls around…..... what is the size of a paperdoll frame? how many frames do I add? how does the system work? could someone explain to me thanks heres some additional info from my options.ini file FRAMES_STANDING=1 FRAMES_WALKING=6 FRAMES_RUNNING=4 FRAMES_ATTACKING=1 FRAMES_JUMPING=1 FRAMES_FALLING=1 FRAMES_LENGTH=500 EDIT: Nevermind, i fixed it by adding the same amount of frames as in character 1.   21. Ok im gonna throw all of my work to the recycle bin, then im gonna bang my head in the wall and then im gonna live with it.
  22. OMFG then why did robin post the code in the first place? just to piss me off? Just tell me where to put it, give me a hint or whatever and I'll stfu :-( So i have to do everything all over again? Make new items, new paperdolls new GUI, tiles….... i dont wanna do that. i just wanna fix this ONE SINGLE problem and i can live in peace.

Robin gave me one but i dont know where to put the code he gave me…. this one: ' fill it with black DDS_BackBuffer.BltColorFill rec_pos, 0 >_< what do i do? where do i put it? I have visual basic 6.
  24. FINE, I'll start using origins, is this glitch fixed there, and how do i convert my previous items, tiles, paperdolls, sprites to origins format? My questions have still not been answered :-(
