  1. trying making your own stuff there are tons of tut's for them. Here is how paperdoll works. Just find a tut that shows you how to make weapons or just wing it on your own… Trust me its way more fun to make it all your self even if it looks bad. Thats how you learn.

  2. Good luck man. I lmao at all the comments tho. It seems the best way to take criticism when you like your game is ignore it and say fuck the haters lol. I agree about the sprites being flat and some of the other things but if you like it, its your art work so go with it. Making games imo is like art. You make what you dream and see in your head and don't let anyone stop you.. XD
  3. So the game I'm working on is a cartoon style game and mainly for the past few months I've been working on my gfx. I've noticed that a lot of my chars looks awkward and when I try to shade them I really don't like how they turn out. Here is my latest example…

I know all about how shading works as I've read almost all the tuts so its not that. I know perspective point and going from that angle. The prob I have is I think it just looks really weird and I wanted some tips on how to add some depth without looking the cartoon looking style I'm going for. But any advice given to make it look better will be much appreciated (:
  4. I know I need a light source. I'm just saying I don't do so well shading any of my people I've noticed. I know ho light source works and to shade everything from an angle. Like 10 o'clock, high noon, ect ect. I just can't seem to shade people. I've reshaded him over and over and I have to keep re doing it bc he looks so odd.
  5. So throw some constructive criticism at me please.. I don't like how rough he looks nor do I know really how to shade the guy. I'm going for a retro style and most of my things are shaded high noon. I know its not very good but he's a big part of my game so its important to me that he looks smoother.

  6. So instead of posting things and getting peoples opinion in tons of different topics I'll just post them all in this. I'm pretty much amateur at all of this even tho I've been around lurking and reading for a while. But here is my first attempt on a shelf for the pub. What kinda alcohol should I put on the bottom shelf? lol.
  7. i know how the DS works so I think with the right features it would be kinda neat. Will you be able to do everything you normally can in an ORPG from the menu? You should make it atleast a little bigger IMO. Just because the small window could get old but if you have a fullscreen option that really won't matter.
  8. but isn't it just an aweosme circle  XD.. lol jk
but for real pokemon did it. so why can't i? :P i think if i gave enough customizable hair and other ways to make the sprite customizable wouldn't that make it acceptable?
