One day I'll make this into a game…
  2. Finished this yesterday. Thought I'd post it here for feedback. Strongly considering re-working this and arranging it better.

The logo took me 5 minutes. So if you don't like it… suck it up xD
  3. Haha thanks! I actually did look at the Fire Emblem animations as a reference, but most of the movements in the animation are original (Shaking while arrow is pulled all the way back, back fire after shooting, the way the bow is picked up, the lunge, and the movement in the upper body as it moves towards the viewer). Nah Eden was dropped a long time ago. Currently I'm working on a commission for a strategy game for the Android tablet/smartphone.

  5. @Roxanna:

    > Good God >.> I couldn't focus on one thing that long unless I'm have so much enthusiasm on it. Especially if it's just one piece. xD

Haha, luckily for me it isn't even halfway done. It will take at least another 40 - 45 hours to finish. It's a different zone of thinking for me. When I'm working on something huge, I just focus on the tiny details. The best place to start is with the smallest and most articulate detail, because when you have precise detail in one place, everything else around it needs to match up to those standards. It's that thinking that keeps me able to work on a piece for long hours.
  6. @Roxanna:

    > o.o; Such large scale work; How long does it normally take you?

Haha a long time. I've spent over 40 hours on the forest so far.

    @7:

    > *cough*lookingtojoinanyprojects?*cough*

Thanks! Sorry, but yeah I'm busy way over my head.
  7. 50% is a pretty harsh contour, I would recommend making that a bit lower. I think this would be more helpful as a tutorial if you had posted images of what the text actually looks like after each step. This would help the users on here who don't understand photoshop's blending options to better understand at least some of them. Oh also, the inner shadow may be a bit too large too. Just some crits though.
  8. @Roxanna: Thanks :D

@Kemerd: Haha I would consider, but currently Spriter's Resource is looking for my head. An SR is a direct rival to my native pixel art website (Pixel Joint). This is what I'm working on right now:

Current WIP. It's an iPhone game with no programmer basically.
  9. I'm a freelance web designer now, if any of you were wondering :P

Anyway here is the work I have done so far on my website:

Oh and btw, yes .jpg. My new mac's photoshop CS2 is screwed up. I can't save any normal file types. .png, .gif…. neither of them exist!

[edit] I forgot to mention, I do not do designs for $35! That is an insanely low price. If you want to know it's $199.
  10. Pixel art is an art form that must meet at least two requirements: 1\. There must be no automatic fixing of any sort, all work must be created by hand by the artist. 2\. Must be under 256 colors. This isn't pixel art, but it is still very nice :D
  11. Try to avoid using an image like this as a background for a website. Backgrounds should be as simple as possible, focussing on what is important on a website is one way to ensure that your design is readable. I haven't seen your website yet, but with this background it could be hard to read. Nice job tiling a forest though :D
  12. I disagree with Strafe on that one. To me this gives a very good idea of how it will look. The biggest issue I see here is the size of it. When you are making a gui, the most important goal to achieve is giving the player the most amount of playing screen possible. Try to make your ui as small as it can, without making it hard to understand. If you could, I would make the quests expand/collapse. That is one heck of a dragon btw :D

[edit] My apologies. I can't read! This is a very well planned out gui. I cannot wait to see what the finished version looks like. It's just about perfect in my opinion.
