  2. @Gohan: > @HelpPlz: > > > thank you, but sorry, uhh, and what is the ip I No-IP. > > /facepalm > > Okay let's try this again. > > As we have said many times, port forward your IPv4, then make a host with no-ip, put the host name in config.ini instead of an IP address. That's it, do nothing else. okay, i get what you mean, but when i register the host with No-Ip, what ip do i change it to, cause the No-Ip host name for an ip, requires to forward to an IP, which IP should i put to forward it
  3. @Robin: > Have you never used a computer before? Serious question. i am very good at computers, but i got like 10 ip's, so just please answer my question, cause i don't wanna get off-topic

Honestly, your question should be answered. If you use your 192 or your 120 IP those are internal ones. You need your external IP fro IP Chicken or another similar site. Then port forward the 4000 port and your good to go. > > > > > > - Adulese > > > > > > EDIT: Also stop double posting. Okay, so do i use the forwarded ip or the ipchicken ip in the config file, and do i port forward the no-ip thing, or the 192.168.0.1, or my ipv4
  6. @Soul: > It says Free No-IP. Learn to read and stop ignoring me because you're too impatient. > > http://www.no-ip.com/services/managed_dns/free_dynamic_dns.html oh, and i meant the DOMAIN part is paid, not the sign up
  7. Ecuse me, what do you mean, i did nothing
  8. well tryto sign up at the site, ALL the domains there cost money to register, but tell me which end(like .com, or .net etc.) you have
  9. @[PIE: > Rodriguez link=topic=62716.msg665384#msg665384 date=1279419521] > You do realize that your 192 ip is your internal router's IP right … Okay, stop what you are doing and repeat every step that Yukiyo has layed out. I have heard of problems if you are hosting on a computer that is connected via wi-fi, but those occur very rarely. Seriously though, this is just making me very sad. > > - Adulese > > EDIT: Honestly, HelpPlz (which has to be the most annoying name ever and makes me not even want to help you) please stop just hoping that someone will take you by the hand and guide you through everything personally. We all have lives and have given you more than enough information to get everything working. i did not sign up with that name for HELP, its a name i like to use on alot of things, not for help, and alot of the other guys said to use the IPv4 Ip, but its cause my server uses my IPv4, so idk
  10. well acually, no-ip.org redirects to no-ip.com, so technically, i was in the right place
  11. okay, wel thanks for insulting me, and i was at no-ip.com
  12. @Gohan: > @HelpPlz: > > > @Gohan: > > > > > @HelpPlz: > > > > > > > I did exactly what u gys said, didn't work > > > > > > If it didn't work then you're doing something wrong. > > > > okay, ill give you a list of what I did > > > > 1.Made my game and stuff > > > > 2.Could'nt figure things out with my friend > > > > 3.Got into my routetr admin panel thing > > > > 4\. Set the IP in the Config.ini file > > > > 6.Went on the Client > > > > 7.FAILED > > Make a no-ip host name and put in Config.ini and it will solve your problem Uhh, well No-Ip ends up costing money, cause you gotta register a domain name either way, the the domains they allow, none of them are free ones
  13. @Gohan: > @HelpPlz: > > > I did exactly what u gys said, didn't work > > If it didn't work then you're doing something wrong. okay, ill give you a list of what i did 1.Made my game and stuff 2.Could'nt figure things out with my friend 3.Got into my routetr admin panel thing 4\. Port forwarded my IPv4 5\. Set the IP in the Config.ini file 6.Went on the Client 7.FAILED
  14. i did exactly what u gys said, didn't work
  15. @Harris: > When port forwarding, the IP you use is the one you see when you type ipconfig/all into your CMD. The IPv4 one, not the nameservers, not the defualt gateway, just the IPv4 one. okay, and what ip in the config file
  16. @Anna: > Your 192.x IP is your local area network ip. If you want your mama's computer in the next room to play your game they need to use that ip. For anyone not in your household (or LAN), then you give them your WAN IP address, which is given to you by your ISP, which is what IPchicken detects. okay, but hen which do iport forward, cause when i port forwarded my ISP ip, my server didn't work, but when i open the server, the top bar of the window says my 192\. ip, so idk, plz help
  17. well did u read the comments before, im stuck at which ip to forward, my 192 ip, my ipchicken.com ip(24.etc) or my 192 special ip(the special house one(unique for everyone)), oh and btw, my server ip is the 192.168 one
  18. @Gohan: > @HelpPlz: > > > okay but do I port-forward the ip from the server, or the ip from ip chicken, oh and, if it just redirects to the ip I forwarded, I don't see the point, no point in redirecting like that > > There is a point. For one no-ip is a security measure. It's not that hard to hack people if you know their IP, second some people have constant changing IP's, no-ip updates so you can have the same IP for your game all the time, third your situation is a confusion in IP addresses. Just make sure you ported with the 192.etc etc ip address(if you are porting with a router) and READ THE TUTORIALS okay, well i tried that, didn't work, can't i just pm you my 3 ip's and stuff, cause i am having a break down
  19. Okay, but it may be for security, that still doesn't explain why the server doesn't work
  20. okay but do i port-forward the ip from the server, or the ip from ip chicken, oh and, if it just redirects to the ip i forwarded, i don't see the point, no point in redirecting like that
  21. k, first of all, it costs money, and second, if i did get that, is that the one i forward, or sumthing
  22. Okay, well i did all the port fowarding stuff, and it doesn' work, you said to go to ipchicken.com, so i did, i got 24\. bla bla bla, but the servers ip is 192.168.0.101 or sumthing, so what do i do
  23. Yes, but i tried it, i put my ip in the config box, i tried it myself, on my computer, and it said serverdown?
  24. Thanks, but can't you tell me how to check(lol i know, im a noob) and am i supposed to be port forwarding or not
