It's not Rune Crafter, it's Realm Crafter.
And i think eclipse policy to other engines has changed greatly over the past year because we really have nothing to fear. Our engine is genuinely the best. -

If you are refering to MSPaint, then yes there are because you cannot store data for your server inside the program memory. -
My Java MMORPG stores the information in .INI files because i have no use for PHP when i am using applets. I will work on a MySQL sync later on, however. Would be useful for forum signatures etc.
