  1. > But if it says in school or on tv radio etc doesnt mean its true

You know where they get their facts from? Scientists. You know where they get their facts from? _Being_ scientists. That's what they do for a living, figure out bum candy like that. Unless you have a better suggestion as to how it works, I'm going with the scientists.

Quite easily. The sun provides light and heat. Most people learn this in grade one, maybe even kindergarten. The sun transfers energy to the earth in the form of UV rays, which heats the earth and its inhabitants. You know why you get sunburned? UV rays. From the sun. Which are hot.
  3. Thank you for posting this upon my request. I actually did most of this when I tried to do it myself, so having this will be a nice reference. I'll tell you if it works for me! Thanks a lot ![^_^](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.png)
  4. > 3) PLAYING MY GAME (I make the game as I play it)

If you do anything out of what he said make sure it's this. This is a huge factor in game development and balancing. I make a little bit of content at a time and play it, and then say to myself, _What would I, as a player, want to happen here?_ or _What could happen here that would be appealing to me as a player?_ Some of the best features in Aegis were created by that method. Make sure you don't get too caught up in making your game without actually playing it.
  5. Your tileset and sprites basically _are_ your game. From an aspiring pixel artists standpoint, when I spend a good couple of hours working my own tilesets, sprites, resources, items, paperdolls, and animations, and then I see someone using tilesets and sprites someone else made, I just think "Where's the effort?" If you're trying to make a game that's memorable and successful, RPGM or any of those other tilesets already puts you at a big disadvantage.
  6. Unfortunately my hoster reformatted his harddrive while he was the only one with the server files, so basically any playable version of Aegis was lost about 2 months ago. I'm going to be using EO 3.0 (Electrified Events) for the engine, and possibly any later releases. I still have all of the old _graphics_, though; which I've been adding to. So as far as the engine goes, I might make a post later in the Talent Centre for a programmer or just work on paperdolls, sprites, tilesets, etc while my own skills with VB6 (I'm learning that and Python) improve.
  7. > Most people lack the skill of understanding "Game Logic" including myself to a extent.

I'll have to consider myself gifted, then. ![](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.png)

    > I vote for pin as well, but how are the votes/rates done?

People PM Phantom Ganon with their ratings for the games and he averages them out.
