CTRL does nothing when I'm near a NPC, it just makes my character walk on the spot, there's really no fighting goin on.. hehe

Where exactly can I find this code, I'm new to this eclipse thing. so there isn't actually some setting I can use to kill a NPC, what are the attack keys etc?

How do i actually make my character fight?
