  1. I'm not sure why everyone is so impressed by this. It's just prerendered graphics, which means the engine isn't doing the rendering itself, it's basically just a 2d image. Rare did this back in the SNES days with the DKC games. And SE did this with the PS1 final fantasies. You basically just take a screen shot of a 3D model and load that picture, so as par as the engine is concerned it's a 2d image.

But it does look pretty cool though so keep at it, just be careful with your perspective and transitions and you could make a pretty cool game.
  2. Yeah you would have to redo the whole map, or you can work on from what you have. I mean see if you can put something else to fill all the empty space. Your world is bigger that just that desert town right? So what ever map you have planed to be above it, just start building in that area. Ya know make the best out of a bad situation.
  3. Oh these look really nice, this is a great resource i think I'll be using these in my project. Thanks for making them!

EDIT- Wait, how do I actually add these in? Do I need to change stuff in the code? If so, could you write up a tutorial for that if you have the time?
  4. Yeah I have to agree with Gregory. When I started was I the best mapper in the world? No I improved over time, but I could at least figure out how the title sets functioned. The best thing you can do is look at screenshots of well made maps using that tileset and learn from them. Go to an RMXP forum and just look at screenshots of games for a while, you'll learn how things go together. And if he's posting maps like this on the forum to be part of his final game, clearly he doesn't think his maps are bad or he would not be showing them off, he would be practicing to make them better. He's never going to improve or learn unless someone tells him his maps suck and gives him ideas about how to improve.
  5. Ok so im trying to make the game screen stretch to fill the maximized window. I've gotten it to stretch, but there is this large black area on the picscreen where the GUI used to be. I'm using Dragon eclipse, how can I fix this?
