  1. Thanks [SB]Rithy58 Can you guide me into more details pls ?
  2. Hi I finally could remake a new charset and it is fine. Now, what I want to do is creating items. One of the items that I want to create (something like power balls) when players run across the ball, it will eventually trigger extra power for a limited time. not only that, the player's character is also transforming into a giant (for a certain amount of time too). Can anyone guide me to solve this case ? Thanks in advance.
  3. @Admiral: > For the sprite size, there is actually a setting in the Data.ini that has Spritesize=1; change the 1 to a 0, and the characters will work with charas (you're using those 32x32 characters from charas-project, right?). Thanks alot again for this great advise, Admiral. I have changed the data.ini but I have to remake my sprite using Charas. I thought there was something wrong in the process so I deleted it (d-oh!). It's a great tool, saving time and most importantly need less knowledge ;)). Once finished, I'll try to use it in my main game. > You'll also enjoy this tutorial: http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,38007.0.html as it works directly with charas. > Oh, and here are some tilesets that work well with 32x32 sprites (as well as a large number of new 32x32 sprites): [GFX.zip](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=46766.0;attach=9036). Thanks too for this link. It's indeed what 'm looking for :)
  4. OK, finally, I made my first character ;) using Charas program. But another problem occurred. when I convert my character set into bmp files and loaded on Eclipse, I noticed that my new character is much smaller than the standard ones provided by Eclipse. **How can I increase the size of my character ? Is it ok if I'm enlarging it manually using photoshop ?** Here's another case I wish to ask : My game is initially divided into 3 scenarios. Each new registrar is given a choice to pick one of the clan he/she wishes to join upon registration. When a new registrar chooses "Clan A" then he/she will be moved on to Scenario I (with different maps, layers & attributes). Likewise if he/she chooses Clan B then he/she will be moved to another scenario. Is there any way I can do as I described above ?
  5. Thanks Admiral for this great link. I can't wait till the download finish. This is really a great forum, with great, helpful ppl. As a noob, I start to pick up some basics of game making :) thanks
  6. *edited* sorry wrong address
  7. Thanks Captain for response. It's awesomely quick! ;) Once I make it, then how can I load them for use ?
  8. Hiii I just start of a blank page (still nothing is it yet, except the whole bunch of ideas I have in mind ;)). The first thing that I need to create is a numbers of characters in the game. Does anyone know how to create a character (others than the one reserved in the EE program). Please be patient with me, since I have no programming knowledge background. This is the first time I'm working on my own game. OK, I have read through some basic tutorials in this forum. I hope some experts here would be happy to give hands for a noob like me :D Thanks in advance!
  9. Thanks again Run! I made it after installing ELI.
  10. Thank you Ruin for quick response I'm downloading it right now. I hope it fix the problem. Thanks again
  11. Hi I had almost the same problem as Kira423 had before. But unfortunately, I'm completely blank about this. I don't know what I'm missing out right now :lipsrsealed:. This is the first time I try out making my own rpg game. and I'm stuck even at the very first phase (d-oh!) I'm using winXP SP2 right now. can someone please help me out with my problem ? Thanks in Advance!
