**Tip # 1: Proof**
Try giving examples of your work. People want to see what you are capible of. Posting screenshots or proof of what you can do will ussually be a huge benifactor in your employment.
**Tip # 2: Spelling**
While its not the hugest mistake, sometimes running your application through a spell check/grammer check, will really help you out a lot.

If you post something along the lines of,
"_I RULEZ @ MAPING GIV ME JOB_!"
then most likely, your not going to get hired. On the other hand, posting something like..

_"I am skilled at mapping, and I want to help out a project."_

Some people look at grammer / spelling / internet lingo, as a way to judge your age. The more type like an idiot, the more they think you are. People dont want to hire idiots now, do they?

**Tip # 3: Contact**
Simply put, if you have some sort of IM program, post it. MSNM and AIM are two widely used programs, if you dont have eather of them, you should think about getting one.
