How does instanced map working? correct me if im wrong here.

So i have 10 players and have 1 instanced map, then should each player generate per map in server?

example:

Player 1 = map501.dat (caiban map name)

Player 2 = map502.dat (same map)

Player 3 = map503.dat (same map)

and so on.

then 10 players = 10 maps??

Something like that, but that would be horribly inefficient. I believe someone around here did instanced maps in a downloadable source (you can rip it) were ever player had a map attached to them, and when they entered the instanced map, it copied the original onto their map (at least that is how I understood it, never touched it myself).
