Here is a way to recolour what ever you want without the special programs. An easy pixel program way:

Ok, In this Tutorial I will show you how to recolour a sprite's hair brown. Recolour the hair with different darknesses of the colour. Start off with the light gray, and change that into light brown, then the next shade darker etc.
